Lovely hotel - overlooking the harbour with magnificent views. Amazing value for money. We had two single rooms with an excellent breakfast - very pleased with our one night in the Portpatrick Hotel. Very welcoming reception staff who were friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and had potential( see comments opposite)the views were fantastic and good access to village. Good location, excellent public areas, staff very friendly & helpful.

It was a lovely sunny day.. We had a walk down to the front on the harbour, again lovely views form the harbour.. The view overlooking Portpatrick harbour. Close to Dunskey golf course. the location,as the view was lovely ,especially on A sunny day. The fact that we got it for half price. peacefullness and location. Location, great view over Portpatrick. Only downside was the signage - we drove into the village but navigated ourselves to the top of the hill to find the hotel. Perhaps we missed the signs as it was dark and all new to us !!. The room developed a running water feature over night which made the room very damp and spoilt the luxury feel for our last night of our holiday. staff in restaurant at breakfast could probably do with some tips on customer service and how to be friendly, even a smile would do!. Breakfast was fairly poor quality, room needed a bit of money spent on it to bring it up to standard. Windows in the. Room need replacing were draughty. no entertainment.over £2.00 for a tiny mixer bottle of Cola. The meal times need to be extended. 6:15pm to 8:00pm is not long enough. Hotel in general needs a bit of TLC. the food. The room needed a damp course, as there was signs of wet on the ceiling and down the walls.. The shower was very old to, but in working order.. Room no 111.. Evening dinner stops at 8pm - far too early. the decor was A bit plain,being black and grey and background music in the dining room would be nice and even in the sitting areas and reception area.the bedroom we were in was A bit dated with ,flaking ceiling. the bathroom was draughty and cold and the windows need double glazed as we could here the rain and wind all night. Too early checkout and room was very outdated. The basic accommodation and the very dated furniture. A shame really as the location is great.
