Renowned for our real ales and homemade food, we are located in a quaint village on the south-west coastal path overlooking Plymouth and the Plym Estuary.

We are a village pub offering bed and breakfast facilities with well-appointed rooms, and shared toilets and shower rooms. Most rooms have sea views. We are winners of the ‘Plymouth Camra Pub of the Year 2006’ award.

We are 10 minutes’ walk from Mount Batten Diving and Water Sports Centre, and within 2 miles of Staddon Heights golf course. Various beaches can be found within 20 miles.

The hotel was delightful. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The service we received was faultless and meals excellent; home cooking at its very best. I am sure that we will visit the hotel again. the very freindly feel of the place and the "real pub" atmosphere. friendly staff, good breakfast and dinner, selection and quality of beer in bar, value for money.

En-suite facilities would be welcome but are not essential if you are having a short stay. Lack of en suite facilities but this wasn't a major problem. nothing i did not like but bedroom needs new decor. Showers, but people do not get scared, they are ok.The en-suite bathroom was a little tatty but it all worked. The communial bathrooms were excellent. Problem to park, but due to hilly nature of Turnchapel and extremely narrow lanes! Beyond the control of the owners of the Boringdon.Romms not en suite. No soap or shampoo for the shower room (which is unsual in my experience). New towels were not provided each day, and the radiators were not on so ours were damp for the next 2 days. WiFi does not work despite the claim that it is provided, the reception is too poor to access the local provided network (not provided by the hotel)... However, the hotel owner did allow us to use his home pc which. Its in need of reburbishment, for example the shower smelt of damp.
