What people say
The ease at which I found the hotel and the parking. The hotel owner and staff were very helpful and friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. The room was very clean and tidy with a great view from the window. There was a varity of choice on the evening meal menu and the meal and service was of a high quality. Again the breakfast was very good and staff helpful and cheerful. all reviews »
From the outset we were made to feel very welcome. The scenery from the bedroom window was spectacular - we could not bring ourselves to close the blinds! A hearty breakfast was served each morning, we did not need to eat again until the eveing, and our evening meal in the restaurant excellent. Notably, a number of non residents were using the restaurant due to its good reputation. The owners and the staff are so lovely and friendly we felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. The view from the room beautiful. We ate at the restaurant twice, we were really impressed with the food and the specials changed every day. The Welsh steak was cooked to perfection. We felt that the number of locals who were eating there was recommendation enough. Very friendly staff made you feel at ease and nothing was to much trouble. Rooms were lovely and clean bed very comfortable. The food was excellent dinner and breakfast were delicious and the packed lunches were very good value we would definately recommend this hotel and will use it again in the future.Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel has new owners who are making additional improvements, but the experience over all was excellent. friendliness of staff. Pleasent and helpful. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly, the room was lovely and the food was excellent. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both meals were excellent- handmade and freshly cooked using local produce.Fantastic location - close to transport links but really in the heart ofthe country. Excellent Food. Hospitality - really genuinely friendlywithout being over the top or intrusive. Nice quiet country location yet only 1/2 mile from village, friendly helpfull staff, clean and well presented room, plenty of parking, nice views over open countryside. The wonderfull views and having a footpath right outside their door. Room Clean: Food superb and staff very friendly. very nice staff nothing too much trouble. Staff ewere friendly good food. Good Food. The hotel was very friendly and welcoming. Work in progress for improvements but overall value for money. The food and service was very good, the staff just great. Very good quality food, which was value for money. This hotel was quite nice atomsphere and Proprietor was quite friendly. These things made me nice atomsphere. Thank you!!!. Friendly atmosphere. Not really, it was a bit difficult to find due to its remoteness - it fooled the car GPS - but the remoteness only added to the atmosphere once we were there. We wanted to stay longer.lane/driveway up the hotel was in need of some repair, more signs and road edge markers would also make it feel safer. The only down side was the road/track getting to the hotel. They may want to invest in another cd!!. On our arrival , room was very cold. We switched on the radiator, bathroom didn't have any radiator, so it was cold. Some room aspects need updating. Bathroom needs updating. Power shower would be better.Partition walls very thin, slightest noise from adjoining room was audible. Too many tables in Restaraunt..Felt very squashed: X3 tables for two in a line felt like one table for six. No provision for children. Access road. Fresh fruit at breakfast would be appreciated. The hotel is quite remote from the main road, about 1 mile through woods on a cart track. no heating in the bathroom - cold and running with condensation, not the standard expected for price of room.Nothing at all. Pull cord in bathroom was disgustingly dirty. No earl grey tea.One bulb not working in bedroom.
