The hotel was very good, comfortable, and the staff where very helpfull and pleasant. the food was excellent and could not believe the mid week special rate for dinner bed and breakfast = exeptional value for mony:) the wifi was free and connection speed was good, would definately recommend to others. Mulberry House is a delight. Attractive location, comfortable facilities. Service is not always of the highest standard but the charm that it is delivered with more than makes up.
all reviews » The location was beautiful, staff friendly, and the room was stunning. We were upgraded which was a lovely surprise. We had dinner which was delicious. Wonderful. The lady at the front of house was very hospitable and went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful stay. The building and the location is beautiful. The hotel was well located and quiet, being in sizeable grounds. Accommodation adequate for business purposes. Cost for DBB exceptionally good value. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was lovely and comfortable. The location and grounds are stunning. Lovely room and atmosphere. Breakfast and service. Location. No Bar to sit in and relax witha couple of drinks, breakfast wasn't till 07.30 which is a bit late if you are away on business. The odd chap in the breakfast room one morning!. Nothing. no complaints whatsoever, I would thorough recommend this place!. Staff didn't generally seem over happy in their work. Breakfast service very poor. Accommodation maybe lacking a few creature comforts for private stay. Not very disable friendly No hotel information in rooms. There was no information in our room about dining times. We came for breakfast at 9.00 and the breakfast room was being cleaned. the waitress was lovely and apologised, and looked after us very well. the previous evening, we had been out, and returned at 9.40. the hotel was all locked up, we could not get in to have a drink at the bar. Just as well we were in a Courtyard room so we could go straight there. It seemed a bit odd to be locked up so early. no open bar facilities. The only down side was the mattress was not good at all! Very cheap considering the rest of the hotel is so good!. Nothing. they need to work on the quality of the cooked breakfast offered. menu needs to cater for Vegetarian/Raw food diet. Window rattled in bathroom a bit and couldn't turn off the radiator at night in bathroom. Too many stairs to climb to get to the room. Room very small. Nothing. Generally our room was very dated which is not a huge issue but the bed was very very uncomfortable. Woke several times in the night with back pain ( which I never get) and the bathroom could be updated with a shower that works better. The room was in the back around the garden and was a bit noisy when other guests were returning to their rooms. Walls were very thin - our neighbours were watching TV at 8am in the morning and we could hear this (Match of the Day) thats how clear it was. we came back after a wedding at around 11.00pm ie not late. We could not get in it was all dark and placed was locked.We had to call for help. Once in we could not find our room which was in the courtyard in the dark. We eventually did but it could have been dangerous. The eggs at breakfast were not well cooked!. arrived by arrangement after 10pm no staff on reception. tried phoning hotel to raise staff,no reply. found my own key and got member of bar staff to show me to room. Noise from wedding band kept me awake. cheap mattress did'nt help!!. Breakfast poor on 2 days. Outside my room a wedding was taking place. Some noise would have been acceptable but this was absolutely ridiculous. The hotel staff should have informed me well in advance about this inconvenience. In that case I wouldn't have stayed at the hotel. I sent a polite e-mail to the hotel to tell them about my experience, but unfortunately they didn't reply. Apparently the hotel owner doesn't really care about my comfort.
