Welcome and so very helpful, that they were so dog friendly and made an effort to make stay as comfortable as it could be an example was late check out offered when we checked in no cost, ensuring we could enter and exit easily with our two dogs at all hours. Relaxed, informal, very friendly staff. Interesting building, lovely garden, comfortable room. A special breakfast pack was made up for us and handed to us the night before as we were leaving at 06.45 in the morning. Nothing was too much trouble!.

The bedroom was at the back so was quiet. Stairs may be a problem for elderly guest but feel the staff would make provisions for this. Breakfast is not served until 8am - a bit late for business people. Carpet in the shower room, old tired decor and furniture. Functional but not great. No breakfast till 8am! I had to leave by 7.45 so was given a cold bacon bap from the night before- yoghurt & fruit would have been more appropriate. Warns may have road noise- an understatement! Busy race track from 6am. Continental breakfast. Window in room 1 coyld not be locked The extraction fan was very noisy. the bedrooms are looking dated and tired.I appreciate this is not an hotel but some improvements needed here.my mattress fealt very old in deed. I really would have liked a traditional English breakfast to have been on offer even if it cost more. Noisy extractor fan in bathroom, no heating, noisy guests coming up from the pub. noisy room as by road at front. shower right in bedroom. bed not comfortable. poor quality room. food expensive and quite bland. however for a cheap overnight stay good value for money. Small room. Noise from kitchen fan. Not nice room 6. Other rooms were better. The beds were soft, the bedroom window rattled; the bathroom carpet was wet from previous showers; the bedroom was not very attractively decorated. IT was on a main road.
