Location was excellent, and the service was also great.High quality room at a very reasonable price. I really liked the hotels central location to the town and its health suite facilities. The room was a good size neat and tidy and i had a fan in room which was useful as it was quite warm.The staff we always polite and helpful. Staff went to great lengths to ensure you had all you needed, or wanted.I liked that it was absolutely central, and only 5 minutes walk from awedding and reception I was attending. I was delighted that as well as atrouser press in the room, there was also an iron and ironing board.Also that there was a fan in the room. I wished I had had time to usethe pool. More vigorous no smoking policy.There was an awful lot of loud noise outside during the night, people atbars and nightclubs. Because it was hot I had the windows open and thenoise made sleep impossible until I closed the windows. I think it wouldhave been a good idea if after arrival the hotel staff explained thenoise problem, and suggest that windows are closed in advance of goingto bed and using the fan provided.Bar area was very cold and the bar itself was only intermittently staffed. nothing at all. we had an enjoyable stay and found the reception and bar staff very helpful and pleasent.I have sent a letter to the Manager suggesting moving the smoking area away from the bedrooms. Very noisy early in the morning and late ate night. (Northampton). No. room was very hot,but if you open window it was then very noisey but being in the town what could you expect. when i arrived although i had an email to confirm booking, the hotel had no record of this and they could not allocate me a no smoking room as requested, which was very disappointing. Health centre unavailable but price charged not discounted. could of had more staff when booking in waited quiet a while as people were paying with cash, seems you can`t do that these day`s. the floor on which we stayed must have been having refurb work done and they started to work at 9am sat morn. im sure that the guests do not want to wake up to drilling in the next room! we were at a function in northampton and when we came back to a full bar @ 1am we could not get a drink at the bar. there was no cash in the till, the card machine wasnt working and we couldnt charge our room!. Parking was very tight when returning to the hotel late on saturday evening. The bedroom we stayed in needs some serious refurbishment. You can see it was once very nice but definitely needs sorting out now !. First impressions - exterior paintwork (blue) looks cheap and dated. The smoking floor. The whole hotel should be non smoking.The shower head was fixed, not removable. The pillows in the room to soft, they should have spare assortment of pillows for peoples tastes.Prices are without breakfast, not good value for money. Price of Breakfast was too much at 13.95 other hotels in area were half that price. If they had have told me they were undergoing work to the hotel i would have booked somewhere else, so having booked a room on the 'quiet floor' it was annoying to have builders drilling and banging, along with the odd swear-word, the clanging of scaffolding right outside the room window, both on saturday and sunday. information from receptionist regarding the facilities available, we had to ask all the questions, information never advised.The rooms were tatty with broken furniture, an uneven bed stand and the shower and bathroom were in need of attention/upgrading. The room was also very hot as the windows did not fully open.Quite a lot of partying noise late into the night. torn wallpaper in room. niteclub opposite very noisy till 5 in the morning. Too hot, mostly in hallways. Fusty smell in bedroom.The room was rather run down.I have stayed in the hotel on two other occations, however feel that the room wasnt up to the same standard as previous visits.Clean but stained sheets on the bed and previous occupants pubic hair left in the bath!. Whilst the bedding was quite fresh there was a repulsive smell in the lobby on the first floor. The staff on request gave us another room on another floor. A suggestion would be to replace some of the carpeting in the elevator and the curtains of the hotel replaced with some new nets. Otherwise the Hotel provided a good overnight place to stay with an excellent choice of breakfast.The common parts were sauna-like - much, much too hot. No air conditioning in room. Other than a small bar of soap, no toiletries in room (surprising in any hotel these days). Poor choice of TV stations.The hotel were advertising the cost at £65 including a meal, whereas we actually paid £72 without breakfast.We went to have a meal at 6.30 pm the restraunt was empty and the gentleman was quite rude to us as we had not booked a table. Although there was no-one in there!!. the fact that the furniture i.e. draswers were smashed if it had not been to late to go else where we would have done the state of the accomodation is appalling. It was far too warm as it did not have air con. The room was like a scene from life on mars it was so dated. It was way over priced for what it was. It needs a total revamp to bring it back into this century.

M1 Junction 15A, following signs for A43/Services. Go straight over the 1st roundabout, left at the 2nd roundabout signposted A43 Northampton/Kettering. Straight over the next roundabout, following signs for A45/Coventry.
Continue past Sixfields Leisure Complex, turning right at the second roundabout passing Cineworld Cinema on the right.
*Carry on over the next 2 roundabouts and 4 sets of traffic lights (Passing the Railway Station). At the next set of traffic lights, turn into Horsemarket keeping in the right hand lane. Turn right into St.Katherines Terrace where you will see the entrance to the hotel car park.
From the North:
