    Location and room quality. Staff did all they could for rectify any problems. We were upgraded to the best rooms before arrival.Log fire. Did not have to pay for 2 poor meals and scotch for the ladies and a chance to talk the problems over with the manager were much appreciated. I hope they are able to improve the food offer. - We loved the view ... what people say » from our room, (Rennie Mackintosh room) the bed was very comfortable and bathroom roomy. We appreciated the welcome and advice from Josh and appreciated the service in the restaurant from the lovely Hungarian couple (I'm sorry we did not get their names) Paella was delicious too!

    We knew roughly where we wanted to stop on our driving holiday but couldn't decide on where specifically and we ended up going for this one mainly due to the reviews. I don't think the reviews do this place justice. It's an old lodge which is much bigger than it looks on the website. It was a bit similar to being in a Miss Marple or Poirot episode with hight ceilings an - Stunning location opposite the Loch, beautiful lodge which you can see as you drive across the nearby bridge. Unfortunately there was a slight mix up with our booking (which they were totally honest about), but they arranged a nice replacement hotel, gave us a bottle of wine and an upgrade for our second night (to the amazing double suite) so there were definitely no complaints from our side. The Suite was very spacious and the bed was superb. Views out onto the loch were also pretty special! A
