This waas the second year running that my wife and myself stayed at the Bay Hotel and will be going back next year. It's the whole surroundings and facilities that make his a great hotel. Really enjoyed staying at the Bay hotel, The staff where very friendly on arrival, the room was a nice size and very clean.. Really enjoyed using the facilities i.e pool, sauna etc..Bright, clean, friendly, modern facilities and very helpful and well trained staff. Food choice and presentation attractive, healthy and vaaried.

Booked 2 rooms. The views in both bedrooms were of a wall 6 feet away. One of the problems when you book online generally, you tend to get the poor rooms.breakfast a bit hit and miss - turned up after 9am (advertised available til 9:30), there were some items not available as all gone. When it came to the room there was a tap which kept whistling all night,we had to get up and move it to stop it. And someone in the next roomwas snoring really loudly :-s. There was no earl grey tea available for breakfast for the duration of my stay. I had to be up and out by 6am on Saturday morning and had to have a cold shower. There was no hot water!!. Didn't get wake up call requested and a slightly earlier check out time would of been welcome.limited food choice. I did not like the hotel room we had as it was very small and neededupdating.The bed was very lumpy!!. It is as though this hotel is more interested in getting people through the door than having guests stay as the bar and lobby have been decorated and furnished to a high standard. I had a top floor balcony room which I presume is one of the higher grade rooms and it was below average compared to the rest of the hotel. The furniture in the room is very dated.No internet in rooms!Face lift needed!. very noisy during the night, slamming doors and very squeeky floor boards in corridor. Every night they had switched off the heating system and was very cold and wind, so was really cold inside my room, I complained with the staff but they didn't solved the problem for all 3 nights that I spent there. One of the staff told me that only the manager had the password to switch on, but he/she didn't. This was really unacceptable! I'm sure that should be more confortable in acheap hostel. room was a bit tired. the bedrooms we stayed in were very spacious, but a little dated. The rooms were very noisy as they overlooked the back of the hotel. room hadl hot water running out of cold taps and was above some kind of air conditioning unit which hummed all night. bed lumpy. food in restaurant (evening Meal) was poor. Hotel expensive for what we got.

- Cancellation: The hotel holds the deposit for up to a year, during which time it can be transferred to any subsequent booking with Newquay Hotels. Please note that children under 16 are unable to use the facilities at Fistral Spa. The indoor pool at the Esplanade Hotel will be available for their use. Please note that single-sex group bookings will not be accepted without prior agreement. Any such bookings will be cancelled, but will still be charged in full. Several individual bookings from the same group will also be cancelled.

The warm Atlantic Gulf Stream makes Newquay a venue for all seasons. Travelling information

From Plymouth:
- Follow the A38 for Bodmin and exit onto the A30.
- At roundabout, exit onto the A39, at the next roundabout exit onto the A392.
- Continue past Quintrell Downs, along the A392 onto Trevemper Road.
- Take the 1st exit onto Gannel and continue to roundabout at end, taking the 1st exit onto Pentire Road.
- Continue to end and turn right onto Esplanade Road, where you will find the hotel.

From Exeter:
- Follow the A30 and exit onto the A39.
- Continue as above.
