I wanted to take my girlfriend to Newcastle for her 25th birthday and required somewhere central and stylish. We were not left dissappionted. The decor in the apartments are fantastic, made us feel at home and very comfortable. Also the metro is a 2min walk away so for £1.20 you are in the city centre withing minutes or just a short taxi ride away. I'll defo be using this Hotel again. The staff were excellent and immediately upgraded my wife and I to another apartment when we had a minor problem with the smoke alarm. They were even understanding when I got home after our stay and discovered that I had inadvertantly packed one of their very small cushions (sent immediately back by recorded delivery). The apartments are ultra luxurious and we hope to go back soon.

Great city, even better place to stay. A welcome pack of milk, bread, breakfast things and some wine and beers etc... would have been nice though. they do this in aparthotels in edinburgh. The Kensington House Aparthotel is a perfect place to stay for a weekend trip. The facilities are excellent and the aparthotel gives you much more flexibility than a regular horel room. The aparthotel is also situated 100 yards from the nearest metro station which will take you straight into the town centre in less than 3 minutes.Having extra room ie Fully fitted Kitchen, dinning area, Large Sofa, Easy Chair. Nice Staff. Location. Late departure. Everything!!!! We have already recommended the Hotel to our families who are thinking of booking. It was extremely comfortable, clean and in a reasonably quiet area. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would've liked some small sachets of milk for the coffee. We couldn't figure out how to get hot water out of the shower. No hairdryer!. No buter in the fridge although there was bread and milk. The bed was too small.The handle fell off the shower and it was not possible to adjust water temperature. The wide shower screen actually made it quite difficult to get out of the bath without slipping over (which I did!), a handle on the wall would have helped. Whilst Sky TV was available there was very limited choice - more choice on freeview. There was a good range of teas and coffees there was no milk. The double bed was only a 4'6" I would of expected at least a 5' bed size.The hotel should provide complementary milk with the tea, coffee, etc. We had to go out for milk before we could make a cup of tea. The room was abit dirty and milk dried in the microwave but apart fromthat very nice. We were on the top floor and there was no lift. The only thing i would have liked to have seen in a 4 star apartment was a stereo and perhaps a shower in the main bathroom.lot of road noise. Found the bed small and the quilts too big and heavy!!! Too much bedding although they looked great.shower didnt work properly as you couldnt turn the temp down from the setting of very hot! no toilet roll in one of the bathrooms!!. Would have been handy to have the rooms or reception supplied with a Newcastle street map. Also surprised that beds were not bigger - we had a small double bed in a 2 bedroom apartment which could easily have fitted a larger bed. Plus bathroom was very tiny, with no room for toiletries.heating in bedroom not working very cold at night Had to get extra towls.
