The apartments were really spacious and could easily have accommodated a larger party. The bathrooms were stunning and the grounds were beautiful, well located for Newcastle! A brilliant place to stay with a large family or group of friends!. Liked the venue, hall and appartments were very well equipped. Location was good, only £11.00 for a taxi into the town centre. Excellent value for money. Very spacious and private. Loved the property and authentic features.

Needs some TLC. big rooms. kitchen and bathrooms quite clean. great house and rooms with lots of space. Spacious apartment. No towels or loo roll provided. We got told off by a neighbour for sitting on the lawns which we presumed we were allowed to utilise. The other apts were rented by a 21st birthday who were very loud and had the police out 3 times in the night due to a dispute with a taxi. Also had to borrow glasses and mugs frm the other apt as there wasn't enough in either the apt or cottage. No towels which would not have been a problem had we known this before going. Smell from the second bathroom.Was expecting welcome pack of toiletries, and tea and coffee etc. It was freezing until we rang management ( who where very helpful ) the furniture was abit tatty and all the light bulbs in the lamps had blown. Some of the fixtures and fittings are a bit tired, but overall the charm of the place was amazing. Could not fault it!!. No towels. No reception or staff. No name on gate to confirm if its Ellison hall. We had to guess where our room was because you just get a text message for a key safe. Finally found a cleaner but she couldn't understand us because she was Latvian. Room full of stains on carpet. Ceiling full of damp. Bathroom floor tiles cracked and loose. Some of the cottage was not well maintained , broken tiles in eat bathroom that were dangerous and found something nasty in one of the cupboards from the people who previously stayed. bad location, had no hot boiling water for showers and a broken cupboard. Boiler was ot working and when entered the flat it was freezing. No sheets or towels, no staff seen or respond to calls, flat needs proper cleaning, carpets dirty and walls stained, carpet on entrance stairs to top floor loose and dangerous, furniture including beds broken. the interior hall/staircase landings of the place had not been cleaned in ages. wifi did not work, and even though we called staff, we got no help and never got an internet connection. no towels. the apartment had a musty smell. lots of small problems, leaking freezer, broken light bulbs, not enough mugs/cups, no sign of staff, no reply to messages, not enough bedding and pillows etc. Dirty entrance hall and dangersou top flight of stairs, ceiling broken on the top landing and dozens of wasps lying on the carpet. Bed and pillows very poor standard and uncomfortable. Cleaning team couldn`t speak a word of English. Took over an hour to actually get into our apartment as the key was stuck and the management wouldnt come out to see to it. Boiler didnt work No heating No hot water No towels Cooker didnt work. The overall state of this hotel is in need of a good lick of paint.The bed in our room was broken, there was no toilet roll had to phone and wait 3 hours for it to be delivered, to then find out the toilet seat was broken.when I complained to the number provided the did not even have the decency to reply.

A contact number must be provided at the time of booking so the hotel can contact guests with the security codes to enter the building and to advise where the keys are to be collected from. Towels are available upon prior request at an additional GBP 2.50 per towel. All guests are requested to bring their own towels for use whilst staying at Ellison Hall Apartments. Please inform Ellison Hall Apartments in advance of your expected arrival time. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly with the contact details provided in your confirmation. A damage deposit of GBP 250 is required. The host charges this 3 days before arrival. This will be collected by credit card. You should be reimbursed within 7 days of check-out.
