Excellent location close to where we needed to be (Kelham); friendly staff; generously sized room and huge en-suite bathroom; *superb* Indian restaurant attached (seriously, award-winning quality); plenty of parking, including right outside room.
The welcome was warm and friendly, the room very comfortable and clean plenty of room, the bathroom again large with very good shower. We enjoyed an excellent curry in the adjoining restaurant.all reviews »

Spartan! Furnished with curious bedroom/office surplus mix, with no cupboards or drawers at all, but two office desks and a coat rack!; no BBC channels on the TV; staff needed reminding to provide milk and loo rolls; no wi-fi in room (a big minus in this day and age); very odd curtain/blind arrangement and nothing to keep dazzling early morning sun from coming through front door.
It was a shame that there was no breakfast.
Rooms are sparsely furnished and could be made much more comfortable with the addition of chairs or a sofa. There is no breakfast facilities so a small fridge would be very helpful. Bathroom was a little scruffy in places - only toiletries was a small shampoo.

Confusion regarding booking on arrival.

Surprised to find a large crack in the washbasin which had no plug.
More surprised after I got home to receive a call from the hotel at almost 11 at night asking what had happened to one of the keys to the two rooms which we occupied. I had left these, as indicated in a notice on the door, in a box at the end of the accommodation block. My assurance that that I had done so was not readily but rather grudgingly accepted. I will not stay there again.
Good size room but the beds were cheap and uncomfortable,I moved the bed
slightly to find there were chips and dirt under the bed as if someone
swept it under there rather than pick it up.I Don't think I will
ever go there again.The place is actually an Indian rest with the rooms
totally separate behind.The food that night was not bad but extremely
expensive £100 for the two of us and it was quite busy and waited a long
time for the food all the things you really don't want.
