Very welcoming and helpful staff. Wonderful setting and views of the Golden Valley. convenience to Hereford, quiet, helpful staff/proprietor. The calm, care and friendliness. its just a lovly place to stay. Great food lovely hotel. Location is great, staff friendly, food excellent, room and view terrific. Pity we were only staying for one night, will return for a longer stay.

Superb team of staff, great food (best pepper sauce my colleague and I have ever tasted) I think in a nutshell for the somewhat jaded businessman out there it trys its very best to make you feel at home. It's not the usual business hotel were you are processed!. Very peaceful hotel in a very quiet surrounding. A good standard all round, comfort, staff, food. friendliness of the staff. very comfortable. Lovely hotel - hope to go there again soon. Excellent setting and grounds. Good menu. My stay was very comfortable and the food was very good overall a very nice stay. thank you. Only niggle bathroom mirror broken. there were no 'grab rails' in bathroom so shower and bath could not be used.The room above me had really squeaky floor boards and they were walking around all night . slightly expensive. Electric shower in the bathroom poor, not enough water comes out of it. I did not like the route to exit the hotel, it was of poor condition and long.Double bed was too narrow for comfort and the matress was soft, lumpy and uncomfortable. This is most unusual for a hotel of this overall standard. I think the hotel is vastly overpriced. Despite it having disabled accesss to parts it was patchy and involved steep inclines etc. The shower room had black mould on the tiles and could have done with a good steam clean. The food in the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was not good. When paying over £100pn I think breakfast should be of a very high standerd. This hotel failed miserably here.I m. The selsction of TV channels only 5. In this mordern day with freeview why has this hotel not moved forward.

The Pilgrim Hotel is located in the village of Much Birch, on the a49 between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye. We are 6 miles from Hereford city centre and 8 miles from Ross-on-Wye town. From the M5 On the M5 take junction 8 following the signs for the M50. Proceed all the way down the M50 to the very end. At the first roundabout take the first exit, following the signs for the A49. At the second roundabout take the third exit. At the third roundabout take the third exit. Stay on the A49. We are approx 8 miles down this road on the left hand side. From Monmouth Follow the A40 towards Ross-on-Wye and Hereford and onto the A49 towards Hereford. The Pilgrim Hotel is 6 miles along this road on the left hand side. From Gloucester Follow the A40 to Ross-on-Wye the head towards Hereford on the A49. The Pilgrim Hotel is on the left hand side 8 miles from Ross-on-Wye. From Hereford Follow the signs for the A49 to Ross-on-Wye. The Pilgrim Hotel is located on the right hand side 6 miles from the city. By Rail The railway station is 6 miles from the hotel, and a taxi will cost approximately £10.00.
