    If, like me, you live in the south & want to visit Scotland Moffat is a great stopping place. The Black Bull is a very old Scottish coaching Inn. Very friendly staff, biker friendly (like all of Scotland) great pub food, clean rooms with TV, tea & coffee facilities & a good WiFi signal, fantastic power showers, everything you need for ... what people say » your jump into Scotland. The breakfast will keep you going almost all day. Two recommendations, firstly have the steak & ale pie and second try to - Comfortable and clean. Food good. Friendly staff and lovely dog!! Old world charm downstairs and modern rooms upstairs.

    This was our second visit to the Balmoral and we enjoyed it as much as the first time round.The room was pleasant, warm and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. One thing we particularly liked was the ample supplies in the room to make tea and coffee, unlike most other hotels we've been to that only pro... what people say » vide a minimum. Car parking was never a problem. - The Staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic for dinner and for Breakfast. Room was exceptionally clean and there were plenty of towels and coffee making facilities. I would recommend the hotel to friends and family. Great location and value

    I was travelling with my mother and stopped over on our way north.We received a very warm welcome from Sally and were shown to lovely rooms with fantastic views over the garden and hills. Sally recommended a local pub for dinner which was excellent . The beds were extremely comfortable and we had a beautiful cooked breakfast. Fantastic breakfast and plenty to choose from the menu. Proprietors were more than helpful and were there to greet you when I turned up. Lovely touches in the bedroom like sweets, biscuits & coffee making facilities. Warm rooms and very comfortable bed.

    We were made to feel very welcome, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Excellent room, food and beer. We would more than happily stay there again. - Atmosphere

    Home from home, commanding views over Scotland's boarder country this olde worlde Scottish town is right on the m74, but very peaceful and with loads to do. The hotel is well appointed friendly to all and welcomes bikers with little bike garages. The bar sells Innes and Gunn beers one of Scotland's best kept secrets and not to be missed. The cooki... what people say » ng and breakfast in particular is really good but there is masses of local choice and tea shops. Simply a great place to stay. - The friendliness and sense of humour of the staff, the restaurant (really great food, not the usual English fried stuff, although they do serve a very good fish and chips), their initiative, although we didn't book it (not too sure when we would be back) they did keep a table for us in their restaurant for Saturday evening just in case we wanted to dine with them. Which, of course, we did!
