flexible and welcoming staff. Good value for the room and a fantastic breakfast. Excellent facilities in room including geat shower that worked perfectly (rare in this world), and very comfortable beds and bedding.
I love everything about the premier inn except for the fact that I had to pay £66 for a room and I was travelling solo - thought that was a lot to ask for - although the facilites are fantastic!!. all reviews »
Proximity to M1, easy to find and return to.
Spacious welcoming layout in reception area looking through to breakfast area.
All staff, at all times were friendly, helpful. Breakfast great.
The staff were very freindly and helpful. The room was clean and
spacious. Breakfast was wonderful. We had 2 small children wth us and
the staff couldnt have been more helpful.
The rooms are very quiet with the windows shut. I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years and have never heard any noise from other guests.
Welcome from reception (Paul) was warm and friendly.
Room was perfect - couldn't have asked for more. Location adjacent to M1 at J9 was ideal for what I wanted.
The Premier Inn was easy to find and lots of available parking. The
staff were friendly and the hotel itself very clean. The breakfast was
also very adequate.
The receptionist when we arrived was first class. Also one of the breakfast staff. Other staff fine.Very comfortable stay. Visited St Albans, not Harpenden.

Great location, reasonable rates and good quality accommodation, and breakfast. Costa coffee on tap all day in the breakfast room - nice touch.
Rooms were very practical - I liked reading lamps next to each side of the bed. Breakfast was great value too - continental and cooked.
Easy to find & not that far from the exit for the motorway way. Breakfast was great valuve. We've booked to stop there in october.

Eating next foor at Harvester; noisy, echoing in contrast to peace of Premier Inn. Food was good though and service.
We had a family room but the bathroom was quite small with no bath,
only a shower.
Heating controls are not straightforward.
Not much really but if I have to be picky I thought the corridors were a little shabby however that is being very critical and it didn't affect my stay.

Key card is required to get onto the Second Floor - but the cards sometimes failed, leaving you stranded from your room - particularly a problem when, in the evening, the front desk wasn't manned!.
Just not the room not having a bath, not ideal a shower with a 2 year old.
minor point only, we'd requested a room with a bath (for our baby) but we didn't find out that all the rooms have showers only until check-in.
Proximity to M1 and A5, very noisy.
A small kiosk with essentials would be good. Drinks, snacks, painkillers, ladies provisionsetc.
I had a disabled room which had a wet room - unfortunately the water
didn't drain away easily and pooled in depressions in the floor
meaning it was still very wet in the morning.
Nothing to dislike.
Had granddaughter aged 4 with us, would have liked either a bath or a detachable shower for her.

It was cold and the heaters did not work.
Bathroom (room 119, I think) could do with a little maintenance - it was clean but just a couple of minor problems.
Noisy other guests at 2, 3 and 4am coming in very drunk and noisy.
Shower should have a panel door, floor rotton under linoleum due to excessive water flooding. Only 1 bath towel supplied, even though 2 occupants booked in. Walls much too thin, had a disturbed night's sleep owing to snoring clearly heard from adjacent bedroom.
Pub/restaurant is distance across the car park and when busy an hour wait for food.
Everything is just bland.
Only had showers in the room, no lift. Long wait to check in, long wait to get into breakfast then long wait for order to be taken.
Did not get any biscuits with the tea.
Every thing is premier but price / biscuits.
The room was cold, and the thermost did not work and there was no hot
water at night (after midnight). The floor by the toilet had collapsed
and was a safety hazard, there was a large hole under the vinyl floor.
When we complained the next morning the girl on the desk was not
interested or helpful at all.
Bedrooms dirty& smels/ vry smal shower cant move this is last time im staying in this hotle / i buy on line its nat wat thy showing .. Disopnted.
