The friendly attitude of the staff helped us to feel relaxed immediately upon arrival, they were efficient and checking in in was completed quite quickly. The staff made themselves readily available in the event that we may have had a problem. The hotel room was clean and spacious which was important to us as my mother is a wheelchair user, with very limited mobility. The bathroom was lovely another important factor, the beds were comfortable, the hotel is well kept. My granddaughter and my mo.
all reviews » It was in a very good location and in walking distance to Manchester Central Convention Center. It took 5 minutes to go there. Taxis, public busses, trams were all available depending where I wanted to go. There were many places to have a meal around the hotel. Piccadily area and station were not far away. The hotel was very quiet and comfortable. I slept very well for the 5 nights of accomodation. Almost no noise at all. The personel was kind and friendly. The breakfast was nice. The room was clean, the breakfast offer included a good range and boiled/poached eggs cooked to order. Best of all however was the help we received from the staff - we were there to run a Conference & the Conference venue could not accommodate our Conference materials, but the hotel staff looked after it before & after. Thank you!. Loved the fact that you let us check in early when we arrived and asked if we could leave our suitcases until check-in time....that was hugely appreciated! Staff very friendly even when we wandered in at 3am - extremely cheerful and happy to join in with all the entertainment.....felt very at home! :0). I arrived late after midnight but was admitted immediately and quickly. The room I got was quite remote from the elevators but on the next day the staff gave me another room which was closer to the elevator and on a higher floor which was important as I had to go in and out of the room quite frequently. We spent two nights in Portland Street Premier Inn. All went well. Special thanks to the staff esp. Linsey who helped me with some car rental overcharge issue, which was finally sorted. The room (including the bed) was excellent. Location was just as good. Breakfast was abundant. I have never stayed in a Premier inn before, but I would definitely stay there again. Rooms were spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable, and staff extremely helpful and friendly. Great location 10 mins walk from Piccadilly railway station and close to tram link and shops. The staff was so nice on arrivel, we arrived late at night with a small baby and everythig was ready for her, couldnt have asked for a better service. Our bed was so comfortable and the extra soft pillows were a bonus. The breakfast was great, really great variety. Love the position of Portland street premier inn, close to china town and a short walk to the city centre. The rooms are clean, beds are very comfy and there are spare pillows and towels. The staff were excellent both at check in, in the bar and at breakfast time. Friendly staff, centrally located within easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Good value breakfast. Hotel caters for families, group parties and couples, a wonderful weekend. If at all, it's the bathroom (basin) faucet, which I feel, should have a hot-cold mixer, rather than 2 individual taps...small (may be insignificant) drawback. That's a very hard question.. I had a perfect stay so u can't answer that question. daft but i like biscuits with my tea and coffee in the room. maybe a frequent stayer scheme to keep you coming back to the hotel, other than that i could not fault it. Only 30 mins free wi-fi (however, at £3 for 24 hours, it's not a huge complaint). Would be nice to have to comfy chairs as room was big enough. Chemical perfume smell in the corridors. that we had to leave!. I know it was a city centre hotel however it was very loud at night. I had booked a family room so it was clear I would have a child with me. We were placed on the 1st floor and there was loud singing and shouting up to 4am outside. Again I understand its city centre but even room further up??. Nothing - all good. The lighting in the room makes work tricky. The only critisisim I had was that the restaurant weas extremly warm during breakfast. we thought the bar shut A bit early for people going to the palace theatre, no time to get A drink. apart from that no problems. a bit disappointed after staying at the prem in york. their restaurant served coffee and lunch and the manager was excellent.the reception areadid not inspire confidence!. The room did have a musty damp smell to it. There wasn't really anything to dislike. It was all ok. Nothing negative. We had no complaints. the reception wasnt the best. Had to leave tv lounge when breakfast finished, so couldn't watch the Ashes!. N/A. Very noisy at 3 am, people screaming coming in from a night out. evening meal expensive. I have no complaints and I was very pleased with the way the staff was helpfully. The location was in easy reach of all areas for sit seeing.
