It is the first time for me in avguesthouse and I like the experience. It was cheap, had parking,. Decor was ok. Room. The furniture was nice. Quiet and clean. There's nothing to dislike. got locked in the room, faulty lock. had to get another guest to let us out. staff are too laid back. no staff on premises and no scart lead for dvd player. No locks on bathroom doors. We stayed in a room which was meant for four people, but did not think there was enough space for four people. 2 find keys. No blinds on the velux window so the sun came in the room early morning. Requested a quad room with twin beds and sofa bed and received a double bed. Unclear as to how to check in and check out. lack of bedding, the fold down bed, no working tv in room. we stayed in room H in my opinion it is to small for two adults. when we stayed people on the the same floor had no consideration banging doors and generally being noisy. 1 toilet/bathroom facilities for the numbers of guests in the building is not adequate. There is no staff to help and we are 4 in small room and slept on sofa and they said because I book for 4 person not 4 rooms and also I coverd my self by sheet when I sleeping. The bed was horrible, cheap nasty, the sofa broke as i sat on it, the shower leaked all the water out, the lighting was really bad so it was dark. The linen and pillows had mould, however they were washed, the toilet was dirty, cupboards were broken. Good concept but very cheaply done. Ideally want a refund. The fact it is described as a guest house is wrong it is self catering there are no staff on site, we couldn't even get in for three quarters of an hour as no one there and the phone number on the booking form was wrong so couldn't get hold of anyone, the breakfast was a few things in the cupboard and the coffee jar was empty, there were no towels and the room was dusty and bits all over yhe bathroom floor. Shared bathroom. Wasn't made clear on the booking that I Would be using a shared bathroom. Location is not city centre based. Misled by the booking. It was dirty, the staff was very unfriendly, they are saying in the reservation you get a continental breakfast and it´s not true, there was no breakfast. i found many hairs in the bed, so i am sure, it wasn´t made fresh for us. the walls were very thin, you can hear everything. the bathroom was dirty, it wasn´t cleaned for months!. I had paid for en-suite room and got a shared toilet; Directions to reach the place and instructions to find the main door/room keys given by the staff were both scarse and misleading; poor location; no blanket in the room; I have had to prepare my breakfast and wash my dishes in the moorning. Staff not helpfull at all Deceptive ad the quadruple room is a sofa bed just enough for one and a double bed. This was billed as being only 10 minutes from the city centre. It was a £18 cab fare. I booked a 4 person room for me (one occupier) with ensuite bathroom. At the last moment I was changed to a single room with a shared bathroom next to my room. The place was over run with students and incredibly noisy. this is not a boutique hotel it is a drab building with rooms without any personality. very very disappointed. awful.

Please let Charnley Mews Boutique Guest House know your expected arrival time in advance. Guests can use the Special Requests box when booking or contact the property. Please note that check-in takes place at 1-4 Charnley Mews, Charnley Street, Whitefield, M45 6BG. Guests are asked to kindly park in the car park at the side of the house or directly outside. All guests must provide a valid photo ID prior to or on arrival. The lead guest must provide the following prior to or on arrival: - Valid signed photo ID - Credit/debit card they have made the booking with and must have the same name and signature as the photo ID. Charnley Mews Boutique Guest House will charge 50% of the total amount on all bookings GBP 250.00 or over on the day of booking. This is non refundable, this policy does not include non-refundable reservations. If booking a full house or three or more rooms we will charge a refundable security deposit of GBP 35 per person on the day of arrival and will be debited from the card details provided. Security deposits must be pre-authorised on to a valid credit or debit card and will be released by the hotel on the day of check out providing none of the terms and conditions have been breached. Deposits may take between 5-10 working days to be released back on to the card details provided on booking. Please contact the property prior to arrival if guests would like to arrange an alternative payment method. If booking a full house or three or more rooms special conditions may apply, please contact us for more details. Please be aware that if booking more than one room, allocation in the same house is not guaranteed as all rooms vary.
