Lovely room with ensuite bathroom for two of us, my 16 year old son and
me. The newly refurbished hostel is great with good economical breakfast
at 730am. The only other place that offered breakfast only serves at
930am. Hostel Reception is open only at 5 pm but you can just enter and
use the pantry , toilets and lounge.
Staff were sociable and friendly. Gave clear advice on places to visit and changes in the village since the last visit.
New rooms were very comfortable although I miss the little reading room the open lobby is much more user friendly.
New kitchen is really pleasant and well equipped.all reviews »

Reasonable price.

Great facilities available for kids and adults i.e. books, games, lounge area, tv, bar.
Meals provided by restaurant were excellent and good value.
Well located, facilities very good,
staff very good, friendly and competent.
Your question 3 should have "walking" in the reason for use as most people using it.
My son's first time of using YHA, he was very impressed.
Everything was complete, the rooms and facilities are great, we especially loved the kitchen as it was most convenient at the time. Additionally, everything was kept clean and maintained well.
Evening meals were avialable but you could also cook your own in self catering kitchen which was very well equiped and modern. Value for money on a 5 day hiking break.
YHA Malham represents excellent value for money. It is conveniently located in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Ideal place to stay for backpackers or hikers.
The helpfulness of the staff. Ability to get a good meal in the evening. Hot shower in the morning. Comfortable communal accommodation and bedroom.

Friendly staff.
Lovely location . Very clean. Helpful staff.
Price, location, breakfast, twin room etc.
Everything was very nice and welcoming.
Duvet had stains . Tourist information office only opens on weekend.
nothing.
take insect repellent !.
Nothing to dislike. It is what it is.
The room was on the cold side but it was late November.
beds; poor matress, bunks hard no flex very hard, bad nights sleep. room 5 next to the kitchen could here the taps as if in the same room no sound insulation.
The beds were uncomfortable due to the plastic covered mattresses, and the single pillows were flat.
The duvets seemed winter-weight and we were far too hot for June. Would bring own pillows next time.
car park not big enough. when hostel full cant get parked. also when hostel full the self catering kitchen gets full as not very big.
Nothing.
Somewhat heavy security, but perhaps this is necessary or required by
yha. It took a long time for hot water to reach the basin in my
dormitory in the early morning!.
Nothing.
Unfortunately no evening meals were available last weekend.
The only access to the self catering unit was walking outside in the rain.
The accommodation units being totally separate,Dower House & the Fold.
Would have liked wi fi.
More space in games room- table tennis table?.
Not being able to sleep but that was probably because it was my first hostel experience and I'm used to sleeping in a room of my own.
Noise from a large party using the kitchen / dining area in the evening was very apparent in the upstairs dorm (we stayed in The Fold).
Limited parking.
Having to pay for 6 when only a family of four.
Nothing at all.
Food a bit hit and miss.
slightly stained sheets (they were clean mind).
The unfortunate constant banging of doors, especially when your room is opposite the exit. People really do need to not let doors slam or notices up.
