The room was fabulously furnished and very comfortable, the hotel is quite possible the ceanest i have ever been in, the food the second evening was outstanding and the manager was at all times very helpful. The rooms were quiet and the breakfasts were probably the best i have ever had in terms of taste and freshness. The hotel is in a superb location and the staff knowledgable about activities in the area. the whole place had a warm and welcoming feel to it and the staff, especially the manager took care of everything down to the last detail. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to returning.A warm welcome, excellent food and service, beautiful spacious room, large bed. Laid back informal atmosphere in a very elegant setting. The staff accomodated your every need. Food and service were first class. friendly and welcoming. Excellent location, dog friendly, excellent staff, very efficient and very friendly. Superb shower facilities. The room was lovely and the food delicious. Room was a little on the cold side. It was a bit noisy outside on the first night. But probably because it was the big fireworks night in the village. the water was too hot. The range of meals was limited and resteraunt like, there were no lighter options and only one salad. The first evening i ordered haddock and chips - the fish was not good and the chips were in fact potato wedges which i do not like. The service at meal tmes could be improved. Stairs were a little steep but receptionist very helpfully carried the bags up on our arrival. The room was looking a little tired. Looked a bit tired in places. Looking a bit tired. Had us booked into a standard room when we had booked feature room on internet. On busy road junction. Room was smaller than expected and I would not have called it a superior room.
