Tastefully furnished in warm, relaxing colours, Groarty Manor provides 6 comfortable en suite rooms, one of which is set on the ground floor and offers disabled access and disabled bathroom facilities. The residence is within the grounds of the 200-year-old Groarty House, which boasts a sun-flooded conservatory with panoramic views across Derry and the surrounding areas. The house has been designed to be environmental friendly. It is heated with a 50 kw log burner and solar panels. The bedrooms are individually zoned with their own heat sensors.

It was lovely, spacious, clean and very comfortable place to stay.The rooms are well equiped and thwe semi wet room bathrooom was excellent. A lovely peaceful location aids a good nights sleep. The proprietors are very welcoming,friendly and nothings a problem. I highly recommend Groarty House. Showers were excellent. The location and room were excellent. Nice location, but need a car.

The city of Derry is home to historic city walls, Guildhall, Tower Museum, Craft Village and Foyle Valley Railway Museum. Sports enthusiasts can enjoy the two 18-hole golf courses, sports complex, horse-riding facilities and 10-pin bowling. Nearby County of Donegal has numerous beauty spots, sandy beaches, historical sites and spectacular views to offer. There are great opportunities for hiking, hill walking and photography. Glenveagh National Park is within easy driving distance, with 10,000 hectares of magnificent mountains, lakes, glens and woodlands, including Ireland's largest herd of red deer. The historic hill fort, Grianan of Aileach, is also just a few miles away.

From Foyle Bridge:
- Follow signs for Buncrana (A2).
- At the Skeoge Roundabout, turn left.
- Take the next turning on the right into Whitehouse Road.
- Continue straight through the crossroads for 1.25 miles, until you come to a T-junction, where you turn left.
- The house is the first entrance on the right.

From the city centre:
- Take the (A2) Buncrana Road.
- Continue straight through Branch Roundabout and past the Central Supermarket on the left.
- Turn left unto Whitehouse Road and follow signs.
- Go straight through the crossroads for 1.25 miles.
- Turn left at the T-junction.
- The house is the first entrance on the right.
