The staff were very friendly & welcoming. It was extremely clean with clean towels every day & plenty of tea/coffee/milk provided. It proved to be a convenient position for gaining access to central London fairly quickly & I would definitely use this hotel again when visiting my daughter in Tower Hamlet. Very nice and helpful staff - clean and tidy - great location for buses and tubes - excellent continental breakfast - extremely quiet - good atmosphere - two very friendly pubs within 2 minutes - buses to the bustling Islington/Angel every five minutes.
all reviews » Had booked a triple room - on arrival we were upgraded to a newly refurbished apartment. Continental breakfast exceeded expectations and dining area was very nice. Staff were very polite and friendly Fantastic value for money. The hotel was clean, friendly, quiet and in a good location for our trip. We were only using the hotel to put our heads down for the night and for this purpose the hotel was perfectly adequate. Very clean and comfortable room. Bathroom in particular was spotless. Hotel's central location on a main road with shops, restaurants and pubs. Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Although nearest tube station is about 15 minutes away, buses at the door offer convenient access to central attractions and main rail stations. I'm 6'4", if I'd have dropped my soap there would not have been enough space to bend down and pick it up!. Nothing it was good maybe more facilites!. no air conditiong no chairs to sit on in rooms. Had a meal in restaurant. Not really that impressed, but then we are from curry capital of the world.... Glasgow! And bathroom needs a coat of paint & a heater!. Curtains too short so let in light Walls a bit thin. noisy traffic from main road,but it is london...so. Rather small room to say the least. Nothing. No cooked breakfast. I was expecting dosas!. Small basement room. Bottom bed sheet was very worn. Toilet seat was broken. The people in the room next door decided to talk until 2 in the morning!!!!!! - very loud. The soaps were expired and had a terrible smell (fortunately, we had our own), and there was a used soap in our shower left from the ones living there before us, which was kind of disgusting.. Otherwise, a nice hotel!. The curtains didn't meet in the middle so there's a gap in the middle leaving you feeling exposed at night when the lights on, also no tie backs or any means of pulling them back to let the daylight in during the day. Breakfast pretty basic, but fine. Bed fine for one, but would have been right for two. The room needed redecorating and updating. showera bit small and fittings a bit tired but again for the price payed it was adequate. maybe a bit to basic !. Shower thermostat broken. Dangerously hot water. Pillows were very poor. Torn duvet cover. No internet in bedroom. Chicken in curry was very dry. The room given to us was not like any on the website. Very small and little Indian flair. The room could have been cleaner. The bathroom needed thorough cleaning, and we found a bedbug after it had drawn blood ... Breakfast was very basic. Further from Emirates than advertised. no parking for miles, crappy breakfast and noisey bed!. Television( which I did not succeed to unplug) went on three times a night automaticaly which woke me up of course. I slept just a couple of hours. Great. I received a refund for the disconfort. Room was unbearably hot and oppressive; tiny too for a double! Uncomfortable soft mattress, rough, scratchy bed linen, dirty bathroom (only superficial cleaning is done here)seams,really old and stained carpets throughout / broken window handle/ no night lights/ having to schlep up and down two floors with a toddler everytime there was a problem as no telephone to reception. Rooms are a bit grotty (not like the photos).
