This place is a gem - we stayed for two nights for a much-needed break and a spot of Christmas shopping. The location is ideal and incredibly quiet considering where it is. The hotel is in a beautiful building and our gallery suite was superb. The service was excellent and understated. This is a real boutique experience and we will definitely return. The hotel was a historical building in the very nice Chelsea District of London. The staff was kind and efficient. Complimentary wi-fi was a nice facility that you cannot find free in many hotels of this standard in London. Rooms were fairly large enough to stay and relax.

The only slight disappointment was the breakfast which was fine but perhaps not as interesting as we expected from the rest of our experience. The second morning we had a lovely (and much cheaper)breakfast at one of the many places on Sloane Square. Facility was a bit old and needed renovation and refurbishment. Since the hotel is a small house, you cannot find the required facilities such as a nice restaurant and a gym. You could not even open the curtains in the rooms which were completely visable from outside. The taxi service recommended was appalling. We have mentioned this to the staff. We reserved a taxi to PAddington station on 19/08. Mid way through the journey we had to change the car as there was some issue with the dispatching the right taxi to the right location. On the way to Heathrough, the final price quoted significantly from the quoted one. Do not use the service! Go for the Black Cab. too cold (room 103), couldn't make cup of tea in room first thing (v English). The walk up (and down) stairs to the top floor. Lift stops at the 3rd floor However worth every step - once you put the key in the door. Room was a little tired but extremely homely. Nothing. Very little to complain about. No tea-making facilities in bedroom. Some baths are a bit tired, but no other gripes. I would stay again. Continental breakfast. nothing. Breakfast cost little high. No tea or coffee in room. Ordering us very expensive taxi! Scaffolding and workmen at our window. I prefer a duvet to blankets. Its funny but the lack of tea and coffee making facilities is really annoying. Bathroom 4-star not 5. Needs better shower set up. Slow restaurant service despite calling ahead Bar shuts 11PM Only soft drinks in minibar. No coffee/tea appliance in the room. Bath had enamel missing so unpleasant to use and our window was covered in plastic outside due to building work so we couldnt see out - thank goodness for air con as it was August!. The room felt much smaller than I was expecting (30m2), our room was worn out, there were cigarette buts on the balcony floor, one cannot enter the building with key but needs to ring the bell every time even during the day. The receptionist was very unwelcoming. We ordered tea which arrived without milk and not enough hot water. The first room we got were terribly poor quality. There is no restaurant at the hotel.
