Located in the former Labour Party headquarters, Safestay is a 5-minute walk from Elephant & Castle train station and shopping centre. Free Wi-Fi is provided in the on-site bar and communal area in addition to a separate computer room. A laundry room, free luggage storage and a library area are also available to guests. Bedrooms have lockers to safely store luggage and most rooms feature en suite bathroom facilities. Private rooms come with a 40-inch LCD TV and tea/coffee making facilities. A continental breakfast is served in our bar lounge, as well as toasted sandwiches and snacks. Guests can also relax in the walled garden which boasts a water feature and additional seating. A games room with pool table is also available to guests. London’s most popular attractions, including Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Oxford Street and Leicester Square can all be reached within a 15-minute tube journey via Elephant & Castle station. Tate Modern, the National Theatre, The Imperial War Museum, London Aquarium, London Dungeon, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, the Kia Oval and the famous Ministry of Sound are all within 1.5 miles of the property.

Location is great, though have to walk 5 minutes from Elephant & Castle Underground station. Staff is super friendly, as they really helpful on helping me to get into all female-dorm. Free continental breakfast everyday, with free internet access at the lounge at all time. Everywhere's purple (I love it!). The facilities are well-taken care. Definitely recommend this hostel to everyone!.
all reviews » Probably the best hostel I've stayed in London: new facilities, big rooms; bathrooms in the rooms as well as common ones on the floors so there's no need to wait for one to get free; great location near the Elephant and Castle tube station and a shopping centre; great common area. The location is great, staff is very helpful, everything is new, tasteful and extremely clean... Best hostel I've stayed in in London by far! Beds are super confy too and breakfast and wifi are free too!. This was an amazing hostel. The interior was very pretty. The beds were comfortable. There were enough bathrooms ofor the rooms. The breakfast was wonderful. I really liked the design of the hostel. The staff was very friendly and always had an answer to my inqueries. Big lockers in the room (to fit a suitcase), you need to bring your own lock. Rather good breakfast for what the British call "continental". The room was nice. The bathroom was clean as well. There is a bus station just outside the hostel that takes you to several places in the city center. The nearest metro station is 5 min on foot, which is also good!. Building of former labour party of GB, it`s so kind. new facilites, curtains around bunks, the staff. the location, price. (very cheap!). Just the stairs, at the time, the lift are not working..so have to run up and down the stair. Good exercise though!. They close all the common areas around midnight. Nothing. All was great!. I didn't like the neighbourhood that much, but it's ok. Definitely during the day. Lobby near lifts was hot . A little far from the tube station . I found the location wasnt in the safest area..seemed a bit rough. I also found it to be quite stuffy which made it hard to sleep at night. Regardless I would return to safestay as the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. Staff should be more friendly - it's a hostel. no Air-conditioner in The room. none. The location is a little bit far away from many tourist hotspots. The microwave was only available on breakfast time. One of the shower drains wasn't working properly - but I guess they will fix it sometime soon. Bring your plug adapter, they adopt the three rectangular plugs, not the european one - if you want to buy it from them it will cost you £5. Internet wifi only on bar and lounge area, not available on the rooms. After midnight those areas are closed, but they let you sit on green uncomfortable chairs by the bar area (where there is internet wifi). The window in the room only opened a small bit, so it was too stuffy. Verrry slow wi-fi. The luggage room is not locked and far from the reception!!! Anyone could just walk down the corridor and take whatever they wanted. There were no lockers for luggage on arrival. The staff was willing to keep my laptop with them at the reception, but I would have preferred to leave my luggage in a locker. Also, when you have a room at the street side, there is a police station at the other side of the road, and police cars with sirens made noise almost the entire night... Take earplugs! (this is probably why they sell them at the reception as well). Sometimes staff were not be kind. + there is really strange smell. the poor mat paint in bathrooms and some walls already dirty and stained. shower curtain system hopeless for a communal use so always wet floors. the shower rooms were often overflowed after someone has used. there should be goods that keeps changing clothes not wet.

Safestay London Elephant & Castle and Safe stay London Holland Park operate a 14-day maximum stay policy. Guests must be away for at least another 14 days before booking a reservation at the property again. You do not have to be a member of any organisation to stay at Safestay. However, guests are required to show some form of valid photo identification upon check in, preferably a valid passport or driving license. Student cards are not accepted as valid form of identification. Bookings cannot be accepted from any person under the age of 18 unless they are accompanied by an adult (over 18) who is staying in the same dorm/room. When booking for 10 people or more, different policies and additional supplements may apply. Please ensure to book the whole dormitory for your group. Any extra beds vacant in the room will be added to your room rate. All additional charges will be confirmed prior to arrival and must be settled before the group checks-in. Families with children under the age of 16 years are welcome. However, they must book and pay for all beds in order to make the room private (i.e. in the case of 4 bedded dorms or larger). Alternatively the property have 2 bedded and 3 bedded private rooms available, subject to availability. You can use the Special Requests box when booking, or contact the property directly using the contact details provided in your confirmation. Pets can only be accommodated in private rooms. They cannot be accommodated in the dormitories.
