Very convenient location for Canary Wharf and 02 arena. Walk from the hotel and catch the DLR to Canary Wharf from East India (few mins walk, literally - and not main roads to cross), or take a 2 minute walk across a set of Traffic Lights to Blackwall DLR. Both stations take you to Canary Wharf, but please not you have to get off at Popular to go to Canary Wharf. And on depart to Canary Wharf to either of above, stop at Popular. all reviews » It is only 5 mins walk under a tunnel from Blackwall station, you can see hotel from DLR. Tea/Coffee and good size rooms, power shower!! Comfy beds, handy to have a hairdryer.I would stay again but ask for a do not disturb sign for door! Staff at check in desk friendly and check in/out quick and easy never had food so cant comment nice budget hotel close to shops (15 mins walk) Beware of taxis share if you can we did twice there and back after concert at 02, pre-book because you get a set fare. We were so impressed we looked up whether there are any Ibis hotels in Montmartre, Paris fir a cheap long weekend and were pleased to find that there is one. The housekeeping staff were very obliging and seemed very anxious to make sure they do everything right. I have seen supervisors around quite bit, making sure things are in order. I contacted in advance to ask for directions from dlr, which staff provided, and reassured that the underpass was safe. On arrival, I requested additional pillows, which a member of staff brought to the room immediately. The hotel is basic, but very clean and well maintained. Pod bathroom was tiny but very well designed to give the illusion of space. Bed was very comfy. We were simply looking to get a 'Chill Break' for a couple of days - with it being easy walking distance to Canary Wharf and West India Docks and its bars and Restaurants - it was ideal. A big plus to us was the facility to leave luggage after check in - a safe well organised system which allowed another day in the City without carrying bags or holdalls through the crowds -. The hotel was modern, clean and cool in the public areas on a very hot day. I requested a room with a view and was put in Room 301 which looks up towards Canary Wharf and the city in the distance which is definitely the best view available. Hotel is very close to Blackwall station and about 10 mins from the O2 by DLR and underground. Good variety at breakfast. As always the Ibis chain of hotels are perfect. The location of this one was great as we were visiting Canary Wharf, Greenwich and the City of London. Comfy beds, not noisy considering it was on a busy road junction. It's a good priced hotel close to DLR (District Light Railway) and then subsequent DLRs or Tube's to the heart of or anyway in London. Could have done with more towels 2 of us sharing twin. No air conditioning. It says we can check out til 12 Maid knocked on door at 9am we were still in bed had a long journey! She tried again as well annoying. It was probably my own silly fault but I was woken by clicking noises in the night and it took me an age to realise it was the air-con / heating unit above the room door. I wish I had turned it off before bed!. The location, by default, makes it a very noisy place from the street traffic.This was muffled as soon as I would close the window, however. Breakfast was a little expensive, especially if you only wanted a couple of slices of toast and a coffee. Nothing much for here - except maybe the wording in the location? Although 'True' infact we could see Blackwall dlr station from our comfortable room and as stated the Ibis Hotel is therefore just across the street from Blackwall Station - its a trek as the a13 and the railway are above and between the two - a safe walkway is available however but it is a good 10 minute stroll - just saying :-). Aid conditioner in our room wasn't the best. Nothing else of note. Everything was perfect....Full marks.. I couldn't fault our trip. There was construction work just outside of our hotel room window, starting quite early in the morning. And there was a problem with the plug in the bathroom sink. In addition breakfast was not included, and buying breakfast at the hotel was not so cheap (£ 9). the tension when told letsbookhotel.com had not placed our reservation. It took 2 underground and 1 overground train plus walking to reach the hotel from london victoria station. We werent given an option of double or twin beds. Apart from the McDonald, there seems to be nothing around the hotel. Having to leave. Had no issues or complaints. There was nothing that I didn't like. The first look of hallway when you get out of the lift before entering the room. More variety of food. No chips on the snack menu to go with food. Staff to know a bit more about places to go to eat and the tourist attractions. We asked several times and all we got was I don't know, lucky I had a iPhone to look them up myself!!. Bed was very hard, I didn't get a good nights sleep and woke up with a bad back. Room service wasn't room service we had to go to reception to collect the food which took a lot longer to cook than it should have done and it wasn't very nice I had a jacket potato that was rock hard on the bottom, the tuna mayo had no mayo and the salad looked really old. Even after putting a do not disturb sign on the door. I had cleaners knock on the door at three different times and walk in. I managed to tell one cleaner just to leave me alone but she insisted on changing towels and leaving a fresh tea tray. I just wanted to be left alone. nothing. No boiled eggs, bacon was fatty, no white sugar or brown sauce had to ask for it. No white sugar in room but night staff gave me some when I asked. A bit isolated. Fair walk to Blackwall. The bar had no tonic water. Lack of full air conditioning (it was very hot weather!). Bathroom in room 301 had a funny smell. Annoying to have to choose several options every time before being able to watch the tv. There were problems with food and beverage stocks on evening I stayed. My selected wine was not available, Guiness for a business colleague was not available, three selected dishes were off the menu, estimated time for a simple pizza was 25-30 mins due to four other orders in the pipeline! Just needs to tighten this up. Location little bit out on a limb. A bit of a nightmare trying to find the car park whilst the building work for Cross Rail is in progress - better/bigger signage would be appreciated. Nothing. up keep of the rooms make sure everything's intact the bathroom door was abit wobbly same as the shower door. We were given a disabled room which was not a problem but the shower room wasn't good. We used the shower once and the whole bathroom floor was wet and the water didn't go away at all. The towels were very small. Plug sockets were annoying as only 1 out of 4 worked. Tv reception was poor. Fire alarm at 1.30am was very annoying as someone has burnt the toast. (Not a serious fire threat). Some very angry customers and found it hard to go back to sleep. No discount was offered on checkout. Cost of breakfast is not value for money (unless you improve the quality of the sausages!). Breakfast was expensive and very average. Nothing. Street noise, appeared as though hotel positioned on local ring road. No local shop Not a relaxing outlook, so not if you looking to chill out. The towels were not big enough. Bar area and restaurant was in reception lobby which was not ideal.
