We had Room 1 with the best views of the ocean and Lizard Point!! We love the quiet and tranquil atmosphere of this place. This is the place to recharge your batteries and to recuperate from the rat race of life! The gardens and walking paths available, the old lighthouse at the back of the place all add charm to this retreat and sanctuary. There is plenty of sea and land wild life in this place. Don't take my word, just check yourself in and savour all Gods creation laid out before you to enjo. all reviews »
This has been one of the best places that i have stayed ever!! The accommodation itself is very simple but clean and the staff was very helpful. But what really stands out of all the other places is it location, it is a 10m walk from the village but it has one of the most beautiful views i have ever seen. I would strongly recommend it if you are looking for a remote place with an amazing view and you like nature!.
This was the first time we stayed in a YHA. It was a great experience of freedom that you don't get with a hotel. Our kids 5 and 9 loved it. We had a fabulous view over looking the sea. Lovely garden, lounge area and kitchen. Would recommend to families.
Excellent location I was not expecting this location for the money I paid. Make sure you take your stuff for cooking if are planning to arrive late! We are planning visit again location is beautiful, but we ran out of time....
Great location with fabulous views and you fall asleep to the sound of the waves. Perfect for the coastal path. Excellent facilities, wonderful lounge looking out over the sea. Thoroughly recommmended.
Wonderful location, lovely friendly staff - they were volunteers. I had an amazing room with bathroom all to myself and woke up on a sunny morning with this great sea view.
Lovely location right on the tip of England. Walking trails right out
the door. Huge kitchen that all guests are free to use. Helpful
friendly staff.
Location superb for what we wanted which was access to coastal habitats as we are entomologists want to be able to sample the invertebrate fauna.
The size of the bedroom and the furnishings. The quality and the nearness of the showers. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
Self catering kitchen, comfy lounge, clean of the bedroom.
Wonderful environment, Friendly staff.
a lovely location for coast walking.
the place was lovely.
No wifi available. One can only check in after 5 pm each day.
Paid £85 for room for four. It was August bank holiday.
We had to make own beds when we arrived.
You need to plan your visit, there are not many shops around & restaurants close early, if you take stuff there is a very book kitchen.
Bunks a bit short for anyone over 6 ft tall!.
There was nothing to dislike about the hostel, but be aware that this part of Cornwall is expensive for eating out. The hostel has a self-catering kitchen.
Fog horn at night from the lighthouse. Not really bad unless you are a
light sleeper.
the weather !!!.
Not much stock in the shop, the receptionist had to give me one of her own bars of soap.
Too expense hairdryer hiring (£2!!!!!).
difficult to access by public transport.
the triple bed situation was uncomfortable for 3 female adults. One person slept on the floor so as not to share a double bed and I was really uncomfortable in a top mattress that sqweaked each time I moved.
