The location is pretty good (in 15-20 minutes you're in the city and there are a lot of shopping opportunities in Stratford), but the most important thing is that it is very clean and modern. We felt very comfortable and slept well there. It is very simple, as you might expect, but for the price, we were very happy. Had to admit then I was worried it would be rough before we walked in, but the staff were lovely, very friendly and even met some of the locals who were great. The hotel ofers "fully-equipped" kitchen, so everyone can prepare breakfast/dinner as he/she whish. Building contains company's offices so double check if arriving outside their hours. Only 7 minutes walk from Victoria line tube.   It's a cross between a hotel and and apartment which allows you to be very flexible with regard to cooking your own meals, getting a takeaway (which can be delivered according to the literature in my room) or going out to one of the many eateries at the Westfield Centre which is where the hotel is located.   Upon arrival, it was clear to see the hotel was clean and fairly luxurious (Especially for a 'Holiday Inn'!). The staff were friendly and helpful, with the room cleaned regularly, with free water and chocolate each day (at least I think they were free!). Quality of breakfast and room service also excellent, and on top of it all, slam opposite Europe's largest shopping centre, with almost every central London shop available. Ideal location for both shopping as well as a quick underground trip (20 minutes by central line) to the centre of London and its attractions. ALso very convenient to get to City Airport and Southend Airport.
