Hotel was value for money, its exactly what you pay for. It does need a little up-dating but it is an old victorian building.Our superior villa had a modern kitchen, massive bed and was spotlessly clean. The location was excellent to spa with its newly opened restaurant. Funicular near to apartment made it easy access if preferred to walking down the cliff. 10 mins walk to town centre and harbour or 2 mins local shops in nearby street. John was friendly and helpful when we wanted to swap rooms. Room 33 was lovely with its shower. Room 30 has lovely sea views but no shower.

staff were helpful and friendly, hotel was very clean including rooms and modern with all you needed in them. room 108 has double and a single bed, sea view and very lovely inside. breakfast was excellent and served to your table, good location for sea view, short 10 min walk to bus stops for town and other areas. good value for money, a nice 3 star hotel and would go back. me, my 5 year old daughter and my mother stayed 3 nights, pools is great as has a shallow bit for kids, bit cool but ok

Upon arrival the staff were friendly and throughout my stay. My room was enormous, well decorated and came supplied with a more than an ample supply of tea and coffee. I had a sea view and I couldn't of been happier.

Very friendly proprietor, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms very spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was delicious. The area where the hotel is situated is easily within walking distance into Scarbrough town centre or seaside but is in a quieter part which means that you can sleep peacefully. I would definitely recommend this hotel

I liked the location as it was near the beach, sea and beautiful gardens. It was free of the noise and bustle of the north side of Scarborough. The breakfast was very nice. I noticed they used quality bacon because it wasn't full of salt, the room was as one would ave expected for the price - big, nicely deorated an clean.
