  Our accommodation was actually a townhouse over 3 storeys just yards offthe royal mile. It was fantastic-clean and well equipped and would nothesitate to recommend it. In fact we plan to use it again very soon. Very good self catering facilities. The flat was provided with clean towels and hair dryers for each room. It even had sky tv. Walking distance to royal mile and the castle. The road workers arrived around 7.30 in the morning but we were already preparing us for breakfast (monday to frida - The Elder York Guest House is a lovely place to stay in Edinburgh! The location is excellent, walking distance to all attractions. There are road works going on, but these won't interrupt your stay and should be over soon. We were greeted on arrival in a friendly way and shown our very clean and spacious room, with bathroom ensuite. Our host offered an excellent recommendation for a pub for dinner. The morning breakfast is very hearty and very delicious and the breakfast room is very prett
