I was amazed to receive a comp - The room was spacious and well furnished. We had a street facing room but the noise wasn't bad at all. You are given keys to the front door and your room on arrival so you aren't restricted by times. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay (and remained so even though we had a blip). The breakfast was fantastic, plenty of choice and enough to set you up for a good day ahead. We stayed for the rugby and the central location meant not only could we explore the city but we could wa

We really enjoyed our stay in St Bernard's House and would totally recommended it. The room was really lovely, all the facilities included, the staff friendly and helpful, breakfast was good and more than enough in quantity (even though I was worrying because of other reviews I had previously red). We also quite liked the location: the 'New town' ... what people say » in Edinburgh is beautiful, with plenty of nice shops and restaurants, and it's more quiet than the Old Town. Really good deal, particularly considerin - St. Bernard's House is situated in a lovely part of Edinburgh, surrounded by beautiful Georgian architecture, with plenty of little shops, pubs & places to eat etc. round the corner. We were more than happy with our stay and the couple who run the guest house were friendly and very helpful. We hope to return at some point and discover more about the local area and Edinburgh itself.
