Nice check in experience - after asking staff about our welcome bottle of wine it arrived on ice to our room within minutes. An excellent way to start a night out. Room service was reduced by 25% between 3 and 5pm so had some food too. King Prawn Ceasar salad was great. Don't expect a great river view unless you have paid extra, perfect location

The staff on reception were exceptionally helpful on our arrival and allowed us to check in 3 hours early and parked the car for us. We had just arrived from a business night in the Intercontinental Park Lane and taking away the fancy veneer in the room the City Inn was every bit as good (if not better). - Liked the fact that all the little extras

There was a computer in the room and broadband was free. I wish I had known about the complimentary tea/coffee/cakes which were out of view in a cupbord in the room and I only found out later when booking out.

The location was fantastic. Easy walking to Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, 10 Downing Street, London Eye. There was a Starbucks across the square which was great for morning coffees and a good Italian restaurant as well. The waterloo underground and train station were close by for all other transport. The rooms were very clean, and the staff very helpful with directions and booking a taxi for our trip to the airport. We had 2 triple rooms on the 10th floor with our daughters

We were very impressed with the facilities. Quite often although a hotel claims to have a gym and pool they rarely offer the sort of quality found at this Novotel. The location was great - Southwark tube is 2 minutes away, St Paul's cathedral is a 15 minute walk and although the location is pretty central, we did not find the area too busy at all.

Helpful staff, quiet on courtyard view, clean, cooking for ourselves saved money so made the price reasonable compared to hotel and cost of eating out. Staff arranged adjacent room for our family so we all met for family gathering. We will return. Near enough for river & Eye, Aquarium, Tower Bridge. The staff were really helpful and it was great to be able to leave our luggage at the hotel before check-in time and after. Breakfast was really good too and set us up for our days sight seeing.
