Restaurant and friendly prop and astaff. Tremendous food, the chefs do a fantastic job. Good menu, plenty of choice and locally sourced ingredients including vegetables and herbs from the garden. Food in the bar / restaurant was very good. Make sure that you visit the garden and herb garden at the rear of the hotel.Staff very pleasant and helpfull. comfortable 6 foot bed, nice surroundings, good breakfast, quiet location. not a simple fayre food menu,i did not like anything on the menu, although i did order then left it. Next time we wil eat else where. There was some confusion over payment, which was inconvenient.Shower on wall about 3 feet above bath so impossible to stand under and no extractor in bathroom. Chairs in room very low so difficult to see into the dressing table mirror (and I'm tall). TV stopped working about 10pm but was fine again next morning. The room was eccentric, which was fine, but I expect something better than chipped paint and faded wallpaper for £83.

Food & Drink
For 14 consecutive years, the hotel has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for the outstanding preparation of its food and the good quality of the ingredients it uses.
The food on offer is widely recognised as being some of the most forward-thinking and delicious in the area. As a food critic said recently, it is “fresh, local, seasonal and of good provenance.”
For over 21 years the hotel has been using fruit, vegetables and herbs from its own garden. The hotel’s large working herb garden has over 100 varieties of herbs and the garden is set out in various configurations to provide continual colour and seasonal supplies to the kitchen.
As well as growing a vast and unusual array of herbs in Sylvia's garden, the hotel’s owners have spent many years building relationships with suppliers of quality meat and vegetables in Shropshire's fertile hills. They supply ultra-sweet lamb, aged and marbled beef, free-range Hereford ducks, traditional Gloucester Old Spot pork, Bobbington wild boar, Cox's apple juice, asparagus, summer fruits, pheasant, venison and fish from Brixham.
Hotel information details
The main building is of Georgian origin and the interior has old quarry tiled floors, exposed brickwork, beamed ceilings and oak panelling.
Herb posies, pot pourri and lavender all help to perfume the atmosphere in the Hundred House.
Important information to guests
Please note that the hotel does not accept American Express.
Information about the area
The world's first iron bridge gives its name to the town of Iron Bridge in the south of Telford, and is the town's most famous feature. It was built across the River Severn in 1779 by local ironmaster, Abraham Darby III.
Shropshire has a lot to offer. There are over 32 castles, and 10 hands-on museums explain how Ironbridge is considered to be the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.
Room information details
Each and every bedroom is unique in design and features half tester or four-poster beds as well as period furniture, while most also have a velvet covered swing! All rooms are en suite and have all modern amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.
Superior rooms are larger and are more sumptuously furnished with period pieces, including some with half tester beds and some with the hotel’s famous swings.
