Thought the chap in charge was excellent. Really made us feel welcome.

No wifi (that i was aware of).

Ideally situated. Welcoming, pleasant and comfortable.

Friendly staff and lovely breakfast.

We had a street side room and it was very noisy when large vehicles passed.

the staff were very friendly and helpful.the breakfast was well prepared .The Capstone was very good value and the location ,by the harbour, could not have been better.

The Parking was a bit of a pain-but I was able to get a 4 day parking permit from the tourist information office;which cost me £12.

Manager was excellent and really helpful. Was a bit concerned after booking to read some negative reviews but its a lovely little hotel and very comfortable. I would happily recomend this hotel . Good breakfast.

Lovely hotel, full of character and the staff are wonderful, Rob the owner couldn't of been more helpful, a mine of information about the local area. Spacious rooms and bathrooms, and tasteful decor in a lovely old building. Breakfast was delicious, and wish we'd tried the restaurant in the evening, the pizza looked amazing. Great location in a lovely seaside town, will come again!

The gentleman that greeted us was very friendly showed us to our rooms also gave us a low down on what to do in the area. Lovely hotel would definitely come again.

Our room was up 54 steps from the street. Not bad for us but could be a problem for some. The wifi was not available most of the time.

Bed was comfortable and hotel was situated within easy acces to shops and food Staff very friendly and welcoming linen clean and crisp

Shower was too hot at lowest setting. Quality mediocre - tv cable broken, tap wobbly and window sealed so far too hot. Toiletries were not replaced. Overcharged on bill by out £9 breakfast mediocre....limited choice

Staff very helpful breakfast good, We are very familiar with the town and a good location for visiting friends.

The hotel was unheated in all areas during our stay although the weather was a cold and wet period.

Me and my friend traveled down for a wedding and choose this hotel by luck. I'm glad i did and i would definitely come back and use it again and again. Robert who i believe was the owner was only happy to help very welcoming and his staff were just as nice. The breakfast had a gluten free option which for a person who has celiac disease was very grateful for this. The hotel room was lovely and clean, comfortable bed, delightful bathroom. The warm and friendly atmosphere of the staff make the hotel even more lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Its situated by the harbor of Ilfracombe and you are able to walk around the shops and sites easily. Once again thank you to Robert for our enjoyable stay two VERY happy customers indeed :)

The only thing i will comment is that the parking isnt directly outside the hotel its around the corner however, for a pay and display parking is very reasonable priced for 24hours. Due to it being an old building there is no lift however the staff are more than happy to help you carry your bags to your room :)

Really friendly and accommodating staff, especially the Manager, Robert, who couldn't have been more helpful.

Our room was very comfortable but a little bit dusty.

Service by Robert was prompt, efficient and delivered with a smile. Our room was spacious, with a great view over the street. The bed was superb.

The hotel needs some renovation but for the price, it offered comfort and convenience.

The hotel owner Robert was very accommodating for last minute booking. Allowed an early breakfast too.

The room was a bit dusty and the hotel really needs some tlc. Rooms need a re plaster and refurb not just redecoration.

Robert who runs the hotel is lovely and makes you feel very welcome. food is all fresh and handmade pizza was amazing! interior is completely different to exterior lovely surprise.

The level of customer service provided to us by Robert was superb, and we felt very welcome and relaxed during our stay.

The bathroom was a little chilly and it would have helped to have heating in there.

Robert and Fay made us very welcome and did their best to keep us warm even though we stayed during the coldest March for 50 years. Breakfast was good and there was plenty.

It's in a great location in the town. The rooms are decorated and fitted well. The staff and service were impeccable, they climbed 3 flights of stairs continuously to give the same service to the room (with meals) as they would have in the restaurant. The food was incredible, home made and cheaper than what you thought it would be.

The only two things that let the hotel down was that they hadn't got round to redecorating the hallways to same the same standard as the rooms and that there is no onsite parking, although there is a cheap long stay carpark 2 minutes away so we didn't find it a problem.

Perfect location for Ilfracombe harbour! Food at breakfast and evening meal was delicious! The manager Robert is so friendly and helpful and makes your stay that little bit more relaxed, comfortable and you feel very welcomed. We definitely will be returning.

Compfy bed , shower adequate , good breakfast !

Bathroom , no wifi in room as stated and locked out ! We needed to take our keys but was not told this ! No place in room to dry hair and put make up on , a mirror would of been good by a plug !

The bedding was clean and the bathroom also. Robert the manager was very helpful and the breakfast was acceptable for the price we Paid.

The moment you enter the carpet is very dirty and smells. The decor is very old and needs updating.

Loved the fact the breakfast was included in with the price of the room the food was very nice the hotel room was warm and clean. Very polite people and chatty staff always helpful.

We're we had breakfast the area was cold, the hotel could do with a touch of paint but not a major thing, you could tell the room service people had came into your room to tidy but our bed wasn't made propley and our dirty towels wernt taken out.

The staff were outstanding and very friendly.

The hotel was absolutely freezing, which made the stay very uncomfortable.

Hotel was cold, some very nice features but the hotel needs complete modernisation. Decorative condition is poor. Shower not thermostatically controlled so you get a shock when someone else uses the water.

Hotel is not what you expect it isn't even named on the outside only the restaurant. In need of a lt of money spending on it first impressions are dreadful

Breakfast was good

The pictures suggest it is modern, our room was far from modern with two old single beds pushed together with very hard mattresses, furniture that should look shabby sheek but just looks like it is from the 70's, dated bathroom suite. The guest lounge was terrible with walls with chip board paper, worn carpet. Not nice at all. Our bedroom was room number 3, we may have had the largest room but was not the nicest.

The restaurant was nice

The room looked nothing like the picture, room was small badly furnished, toilet and shower was in clean, toilet had fesses all around it aswell as toilet brush, shower flooded bath room floor, couldn't turn sink tap off, the noise from the pubs below kept us up all night even with the windows shut. Bird fesses all over the inside of the window sill.

The manager was very welcoming and the staff at breakfast were good.

The building was delapidated and smelled stale. The carpet in the entrance hall was filthy. The bedroom window were impossible to open. The bathroom fittings were poorly fixed. The hot water was scalding and impossible to regulate. And then the water ran out altogether before my husband had even showered - other guests at breakfast said they had not water and the toilets would not flush. By after breakfast the tanks had obviously filled up again as the water was running again.

Room was ok but very tired, it needed modernizing, very drafty.

The breakfast was so over priced, such minute portions ,a half of tomatoe , one mushroom sliced one bit of bacon, one sausage one very small portion of scrabbled egg cold coffee, and £7.50 EACH
