Pleasant, helpful staff and a simple but comfortable very clean room. courteous hepful staff and good food. easy parking, large rear car park. Friendly welcome. Good size room with a large clean and modern bathroom.Read reviews that said the place was dirty and overpriced. Good internet price without breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable. We did not eat at the hotel but the restaurant and menu seemed fine with a vegetarian choice. Fantastic choice of restaurants on the High Street. Nice big room. Good sized bathroom. Pleasant staff.Friendly staff. Clean, relatively easy to access room from car park, car parking was relatively safe. Room was spacious and draught free. Staff were polite and helpful.Large room, balcony, excellent position, friendly staff.Pleasant surroundings, plenty of character. The staff are warm and friendly and attended my request fairly well. friendly staff who were amusing and very helpful. Friendly staff, nice breakfast. Convenience and pleasant staff. Helpful, courteous staff.location, easy to find and plenty to do, also very accomodating to an early check in. Judge a Dancing Competition locally.the convienience for where I was visiting. Good size room, very clean, warm. Bed lumpy and too small needed replacing with a bigger bed of better quality. Clean and friendly. Some of the staff were quite friendly. The room was large. nothing. A bit noisy late at night after the Saturday wedding. The bathroom fan, Room 204, was noisy and always came on with the light. unfortunately one single bed was in bad repair-springs protruding, base leaning to one side and creeking at every move. the shower did not work properly, and i was disapointed there was no satelitte (which was mantioned on the bookings.com site) or even digital tv in the rooms, apart from that good, maybe some leaflets on tourist info about hoylake and places to eat etc. Room was hot, (although we prob could have turned down the radiator) and hoovering at 9am, not fun. need 24 hr room service as we got home at 4am sunday n were hungry, but your kind man on did find us some cake so cheers to him. A bath would have been nice. Room got quite hot. Windows and fittings painted over so not possible to open all windows.Staff were stretched to the limit, especially checking out. Lack of information in room- no radio/alarm. Shower very unreliable, takes ages to get any hot water , then it disappears a few minutes later. Bath water luke warm at 17:30 on a Friday evening . Why ? Reported it to reception. Also, wanted some additional sachets of milk for the morning, but none were available. Luckily, the small jug of milk supplied kept fresh overnight. Small TV, most stations not tuned in. No kippers or smoked haddock Sat am despite being on the menu (but they got some in for Sunday). Very poor shower. poor water pressure, boiling and cold although I had friends staying in another room where it was fine. Reported faulty shower which was not fixed. I would have liked the hotel to be in a position to provide contact with local babysitters. Also, perhaps, to provide remote listeni9ng facilities for sleeping children. we were booked in for 5 days and there was no space to store our clothig in drawers, so when we pointed out this we were moved to a family room. there should be a chest of drawers in each room. adressing table with 3 tiny drawers is not acceptable. all the beds have lovely new heavyweight duvets. great if you want a heavyweight but we dont, so it would be nice if there was an alternative.curtains. Amazed that it had 3 stars from the AA with such a bad mattress and no where to hang clothes for the night -a pity this should spoil a lovely refurbished hotel. Couldn't recommend due to these two points !!!!!!!!!!. no easy chairs in the hotel bedroom for us to relax althought there was room for two. No alternative to butter in restraunt,I am allergic to full cream products,The charge for 2 full english breakfasts when my companion only had cereal and toast there was no compromise, shortage of pillows in room. A wake up call I arranged was not made resulting in a colleague nearly missing his flight home to Spain. Apparently the receptionist forgot to mark my room for a call. a bit ramshackle really although the public rooms were much better than our bedroom. No water, no pressure when there was water, thin walls so could hear next room. Our room looked out over grey rooftops only and was next to the extractor fan from the kitchen. Hence it was noisy and smelly if the window was open, which it usually was, because the room was far too hot. We booked late so may well have had the worst room in the hotel. The room smelt very strongly of paint and there was no information available about the hotel services or the surrounding area. I had to complain about my evening meal as it was too difficult to cut, let alone chew, but there was no apology or response from the chef. No-one asked on checking out if I had enjoyed my stay. Poor hotel badly in need of rufurb dark and dingy .bathroom suit like something from a seventees throwback plum coloured bathroom suite.Beds that hard didnt sleep at all and one pillow and none elsewhere in the room.Bar expensive 2 pints nearly eght pounds. We where on a christmas night out had to wait 15 mins for night porter to open door in minus 5 degrees at 3.30am.Worst nights sleep ever.
