Large comfortable room. good atmosphere. freindly staff. The restaurant and the staff were excellent - they really made our evening!!. Very Freindly Staff. Relaxed friendly atmosphere and prompt response to a minor defect in the room (TV Controller not working). The fact that it had a restaurant so didnt have to go out to eat. A chance to buy hsb bitter.very good team all round. Clean comfortable room good size for a few nights stay. Recently decorated. Good hearty Breakfast. In the annexe it was quiet from road traffic. clean, comfortable room.good food. The Restaurant. sevice at the bar was very slow. Not much choice for veggies although when I asked they were helpful maybe it would be a good idea to put somewhere on the blackboard or menu instead of the customer asking the staff.Quite a bit of noise outside of hotel late at night. the soundproofing could definetly be improved - The people on the floor above kept moving around to all hours in the night and it sounded like a baby elephant was up there. Loved the old sash windows but were unable to sleep with them open as we were situated on the ground floor. The room was far to small for the price charged and for two people.
