  I had a very enjoyable stay at the Barcelo Basingstoke Country Hotel. I found all of the staff very friendly and happy to help. The food was excellent and there was a varied choice on the menu.   After a 2 night stay at The Wellington Arms I found the staff VERY friendly and nothing was too much bother. The hotel has a bar with a lovely relaxed atmosphere. The hotel was clean, although slightly dated and the heating was too hot for our liking, this resulting in a restless night BUT I would certainly stay here again. - The way staff put th... what people say » emselves out to make our stay enjoyable. I.e drove us to the wedding venue after taxi let us down, free of charge. We were a party of 12 and the next morning they set up a table with 12 place settings for us all. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone

  we had a meal on the Friday we arrived Thai curry was excellent expertly prepared. The staff were helpful and friendly . We would recommend Chilli pad as a comfortable affordable base . - Great staff, very friendly and helpful, Great Thai food, breakfast could be better. Very comfortable bed.
