Lodge Farm Bed & Breakfast - Photos
What people say
Excellent venue in the countryside which we chose due to its location
very close to Luton airport prior to our break in Malta. We only wish we
had time to stay and enjoy the hospitality of the hosts ( excellent and
extremely welcoming and helpful ) and the lovely surroundings in the
countryside.
I had found this venue for my parents prior to their last holiday and they highly recommended the Lodge. Many thanks for booking us a taxi at 4.30 and I can only apologise for not having signed the vis. all reviews »
The room was tastefully decorated, the bed very comfortable, the bathroom has a relaxing view of the countryside.
The cottage is isolated, in a panoramic position: you can keep the curtains open without fear for your own privacy!
The breakfast is homemade, very good and plentiful, and the breakfast room is very nice, with tables for each group of guests. The person who greeted us - the landlady was on holiday those days - was welcoming and extremely polite. It's really colse to Hitchin, a nic.
The room was good with a really nice comfortable bed. Room furnished
nicely with plenty of draws and wardrobe space.Nice view of gardens,The
room and bathroom were spotlessly clean with toiletries and a large
fluffy bathrobe.Although breakfast is usually served at 7.30am,my
request for breakfast at 7am was happily meet, and what a good full
English breakfast it was, with good quality produce. All in All a lovely
place to stay. For a day or a week.
It was a lovely place to stay - the location is great. Maria the hostess was so warm and friendly The room was clean and comfortable with beautiful views over the countryside. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order.
Lovely, tranquil location with beautiful views. Maria is an excellent host, very welcoming and chatty. Suitable for a variety of needs both business and leisure. Nice to have a walk and see the horses in the morning.
ideal quiet country B&B, perfect for a get away from it all.
local pubs for lunch & dinner the red lion being the best for value & old style 'pub' character.
thanks Maria for everything.
We liked the spaciousness and comfort of the one bedroom apartment. We
adored the peace and quiet and wonderful views. The owner was warm,
friendly and very helpful.
Cannot fault Lodge Farm. Beautiful house, superbly equipped room, the best hospitality I have ever received. Fabulous parkland gardens. Will definitely stay again.
Very welcoming & accommodating.
room & location was perfect & such great value for money.
breakfast was lovely & food didn't take long at all.
Really enjoyed our too brief stay - very large lovely room with countryside views. Very comfortable bed and good breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
Had a lovely stay. Maria was lovely & very helpful in advising about the local areas. Breakfast was great & the room was beautiful.
Accomodation was lovely, the food was really nice. It would have been nicer if we could have had a proper look around the area.
Fabulous peaceful location; very friendly owner - great for relaxation or peaceful start to any day.
Beautiful farm location, rustic ambiance, comfortable bedroom and cheerful 'landlady'.
the host maria was super
helped us with everything. we wish her all the best.
everything was perfect: the location, the rooms, the design, the owner.
Everything, was a fabulous stay in a hotel of old world charm and grace!.
Very friendly lady, beautiful surroundings, lovely stay!.
The location
The surroundings
The landlady.
Friendly welcome. lovely breakfast.
evereything brilliant.
Loved the property and the surroundings - the owner was very friendly and welcoming, breakfast was great - very quiet in idyllic location but offers easy access to airport.
Everything except for an inadequate heating (in fact no heating) in a
guest area of the B&B building.
Maria the owner, was very helpful ,and very pleasant ,and most obliging
.
Although it was stated that the room had a private bathroom, which it
did! This was out side the room next door in the corridor, this is where
the big fluffy bathrobe came in useful.
nothing really, just the English weather!!.
We would recommend a 'How to find us' section on their website.
There is a Google map but it isn't sufficiently detailed. Even a
list of villages to head for would be helpful! Once found, however, you
won't want to leave!.
Nothing!.
The b&b was a little way from the main town but the location itself was lovely.
Long and potholed country drive not good for low profile car! Private bathroom was too far along corridor for late night visits! We departed 15mins before cooked breakfast was available, a return visit may have been made had an offer been made to provide it earlier. Could really have done with free wifi too.
not all taxi drivers know where this amazing farm house is located.
Had to leave!.
The room is a bit small and the bed is small for two people who aren't a couple but it is mentioned on the website.
nothing.
Each room should have a wifi password code printed somewhere so when the owners are out and not answering the phone guests can get on the wifi. This is standard practice in other B&B's I've stayed in.
Bed was hard and small.
An inadequate heating (in fact no heating) in a guest area of the
B&B building. With outside temperatures well below 10oC, this was a
horrible lodging experience (in otherwise wonderful environment).
Regrettably never more memories, very much relevant for seasons of the
year other than hot summers.
Heating was not adequate for size of room, location was a little remote ,as we did not have transport,.
