The room was clean, well refurbished and maintained. The design is modern and appealing and fresh and the bathroom was perfect - the shower works well (unlike in other places we had been in the region). We had the smallest room but it was perfectly comfortable even with a little baby in our king bed (no space for a cot).
The facilities in the room were good.
Breakfast was very good, especially the fresh fruit. Staff are friendly and attentive.
It is a short drive from the beach and from the for. all reviews
staff very friendly, room very comfortable, very close to friends, and on major roads for easy access, very quite, no hustle or bustle.
lovely room and ensuite , staff very helpful and polite, food portions excellent and good choice for breakfast.

lovely gardens, beautiful house and lovely room thank you for a short but lovely stay.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
Clean, quiet hotel and surroundings.
the quality of the bedroom decor and the full English breakfast.
The bed, breakfast was lovely and the house itself is beautiful.
Nice and quiet.
Friendly staff.
Excellent food.
Superb room, very clean, beautiful setting.
Lovely poached eggs.
Quiet environment.
ambience cleanliness friendliness food.
Excellent staff and grounds.
Very nice room considering the price i payed for it, nice tv, good shower, very well decorated.
The breakfast was ok.
The character of the old building.
Easy parking.
The staff and the breakfast.
Clean and comfortable.
The member of staff we met was very nice. The Old Vicarage were very helpful when my specific needs were explained. They were also very happy to arrange taxis to and from a family celebration.
Breakfast was ok but the toast came too early and was cold.
One can't sleep with the window open as the noise of the cars passing on the main road is extremely loud and lasts all night so we didn't get much sleep. But with closed windows it is fine - for us it was just too hot to sleep without them open. So ear plugs are recommended!.
nothing.
the busy room outside our bedroom kept waking me up , had to have windows as so hot due to weather,.
Poor breakfast! Stewed tea and coffee. Suspect food had been kept under the grill. Annoying not being able to speak to anyone at 7.30 pm to discuss booking as phone went to answerphone. Noisy room next to the main road.
all fine.
Some difficulties with weak wifi but ready help was given - rebooting and repeated attempts to connect.
Although our room (4) was at the back, I think the road noise would have been noticeable had we been at the front.
The restraint was only open until 5 and the bar shut at 7pm.
coming home.
Shame the facilities close so early.
Room a bit cramped.
Possibilities for eating in the evening very restricted. The Harvesters is awful and crossing the road to it is hazardous.
It would be good if the Old Vicarage could do meals in the evening.
No sanitary disposal in bathroom.
Too much noise from the road and window in room 6 didnt close properly.
Breakfast could have been hotter.
Adding some silicone for windows in room 6 should solve this for a few pounds.
The hotel is very close to a busy main road. Although quiet at night, the traffic noise was noticeable early morning and evening.
The room was hot but traffic noise was too loud to open the window so found it hard to sleep.
Bar only open until 7pm, lacked atmosphere.
Unable to get a drink after 7pm.
I was coming in about 8.30 -9.00 at night, no staff were available if you had any problems or needed anything. (on 3 nights no phone or contact numbers left on reception desk in case of problems).
We were in a room at the front of the hotel and the noise from the traffic on the main road outside kept us awake.
The attention to housekeeping was poor. Dark dusty edges to carpet, cobwebs, splits in the side of the fabric of the divan. Large hole in bath towel, although this was mentioned it was not exchanged.
The lack of atmosphere. It was much akin to a youth hostel.
The lack of facilities.
All services closing at 7pm.
The price! At £130 B&B for the supposedly best room, we were really disappointed by its mediocrity.
