Wonderful warm reception. Rosemary (host) even offered to do our laundry for us in their machines! Authentic old world charm. Warm rooms, comfy beds, delicious breakfasts.
Ann Tyson's is in a beautiful historic village. The accomodation is hard to find so I would suggest arriving in daylight and asking for directions. Everyone is happy to assist.
I can't speak highly enough of it, the 'staff' were friendly, helpful, I couldn't have wished for better in any way.Food excellent. Accomodation delightful, historically interesting, clean, lovely bed AND pillows, what more can I say, it was like being at home. This place needs the best advertising and reccomending.
The location in the quaint village of Hawkeshead is wonderful. The traditional breakfast was very generous. I had requested a gluten free breakfast and the owner went out of his way to provide me with gluten free sausage.
Kind and very welcoming proprietors. Charmingly old with lots of
antiques. Wonderful sumptuous breakfast! Close to numerous walks in the
beautiful Lake District of England. Wish We could have stayed longer.

Friendly hotel in a picturesque location.
The central location and quirkiness.
Friendly and helpful staff.
the village and pubs.
Breakfast.
Nothing.
The room wasn't well-lit and felt a bit dingy.
The single bed was a little bumpy.
Nothing.
The only problem was the parking, this was provided but due the the compactness of the village was difficult to get to. Otherwise no problems.
nothing.
Accommodation didn't offer much natural lighting and there was no hair dryer. Neither of these however spoilt our stay which we thoroughly enjoyed.
tiny plunge bath.
the car space we were allocated was very tight but managed ok.
The kitchen ; there was a canine sitting in it as I checked in and this put me off eating there.
The car park fees are excessive and having to type in your car registration is way over the top and very inconvenient if you dont know it and have to walk back to your car to check.
The beds lo location of bedrooms.
