Hotel was in village we wished to be in. clean and well kept. frindly staff. excellent breakfast. very clean rooms good staff. Friendly Staff. Good food.the friendliness of the staff and the room was great. Cleanliness and flat screen TV.The food and the staff. The shower was excellent, very clean and a good size.breakfast. Clean, comfortable and value for money. Going out of their way to assist. as a party of seven we did not have to worry about sitting together for breakfast or dinner as the table was already for us.Clean well presented room.Comfortable beds.Tea making facilities. Restaurant very attractive and food good. Friendliness of bar staff and landlady. Basic pub accommodation and food at a good price. Nice hotel with helpful staff. Clean and tidy well worth the resonable room rate. Friendly staff - room was clean and comfortable with all facilities.Location and reasonably quiet considering this is a pub. Beautiful little hotel with nice staff, however....Good clean rooms attached to a proper pub. Very friendly and helpful staff. the breakfast. The room was very clean. It was also an excellent price for the room. Once the music ended downstairs, it was very quiet; we enjoyed a good night's sleep. It was clean and comfortable, the evening meal was alright, and a good breakfast. Clean and comfortable. Good food.the staff were all friendly and agreeable the accomodation was good so was the breakfast..cleaning of room could be improved. Location was good, nice room and convenient for meals etc when on a busy schedule. the entertainment, the meals. The Accomodation was exelent. There was poor lighting outside into car park and i fell down some steps in the dark when leaving in the morning. I did phone to say so! Now on crutches for 6 weeks. Other than that a lovely hotel. THe room was too small fro two beds and I fell over the bed end. The freezing ice but nothing to do with hotel. Rooms were nice and warm. Noise on Friday night. breakfast starts at 8.30 am only. Breafast choice is a little limited, especially if you are a vegetarian and do not wish to have a full English breakfast but it was well presented and we had excellent service.we were not there long enough. The bar was closed promptly to residents at 11pm and breakfast was not available early enough on sunday morning. In disabled room, a larger wash hand basin very necessary and shelves for toiletries.A choice of the cooked breakfast should be given. Rooms a bit on small side. We stayed only one night, witnessed two fights in the car park, had 15year old girls asking us for cigerettes, money and suggested we tookthem to our room and generally an intimidating atmosphere from theclients in the bar (staff were fine). Booked a family room and got a campbed for the third bed.Would have been nice if the rooms on the main road had double glazing!. The room was very small; there was not even room for a chair. Moreover, the noise from the pub downstairs carried up into the accommodations area until about 11:30, although since it was Friday night, we probably should have expected that. Also, no one showed us to the room, and there were several mechanical and electrical aspects that we had to figure out on our own.It is the only pub and hotel in the village so everyone goes there. The village is just one street. You had to be in the restaurant by 8pm to get served even though the room info states 9pm. They actually turned people way at 7.45pm and it wasn't busy. they seemed short staffed. no mind the step signs at all ( mum tripped over and hurt her knee. cleanliness, in the wardrobe was a tampon, unused, carpet had not been cleaned and surfaces had not been dusted and stained bedding. the tv was not working all the time we were there,we did ask if there was a problem, but no one was interested to come and look at tv.We were staying there for one night with a 9.50 booking on Eurotunnel we were informed on arrival that the earliest they could give us the breakfast was 9.00am as other guests were booked in at 8.30am this was impossible timing and they would not budge from there stand so we had to leave without breakfast. wholly unsatsfactory. also stated 15 mins from tunnel this turned out to be 30 mins.
