What I liked most was the hotel owners' hospitality. I really felt at home during my stay. The eggs, bacon and potato scones cooked by Cathy were superb. Cathy and Angus were always available to give directions. I also liked the retro atyle of my big room. Although the hotel is not in the city centre, it is located very close to a bus stop with buses 7 and 62 going to the city centre. Great, spacious rooms, with a large bathroom. Very clean throughout.Owners friendly and made us feel very welcome. Good, hearty Scottishbreakfast that set us up for the day. All in all very good value andwould definitely recommend the hotel to others.all reviews »
The freindliness of the owners and how they went out of their way to rectify your failing It was exceedingly comfortable and you felt that the owners were personal friends The breakfast was wonderful. Very kind staff, very friendly athmosphere, very good scotish breakfast, I feel as in house my granny. It was really nice time. The owners were very friendly, made us feel welcome, and also offered good local information on places to eat. Selected this hotel because of reviews from various internet sites. We wanted a change from the big hotels which are big, plastic, unfriendly, noisy, . . .and we were not disappointed. Very comfortable room. We could here noise from the flyover opposite but it was not overloud. Even though owners were on holiday Jo was excellent - even getting up 1/2 hour early to cook my daughter's breakfast as she needed an early start. Breakfast was very good!. The location of the hotel was excellent for our purpose, and the management and staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Attentive staff without being obtrusive. Good location. Nice clean rooms and good hearty breakfast. The lady on reception was very pleasant and the breakfast was excellent.Electric shower could have been a little hotter. Minor gripe - en suite facilities quite small.
