Large bedroom with plenty of seating.Enjoyed staying at an old coaching inn that retained its historicalcharacter which having been upgraded to provide modern facilities.Good location for local trips, walking to castle, local restaurants.
all reviews Room was rather noisy the first night - it overlooked a courtyard wherepeople were enjoying themselves rather noisily until late.Hotel had a lingering smell of tobacco smoke. Hotel restaurant menu poor. Public transport access poor.

The Crown Hotel aims to deliver simple, delicious meals using fine Suffolk produce: fresh vegetables from Framlingham market; meat from a local butcher; and fish from Aldeburgh and Orford.

Lunch and dinner are served 7 days a week, and lighter meals and snacks are available all day. A Sunday carvery is served in Stables restaurant. Business lunches can be arranged.

Travelling information

By Car
From the North:
- Take the A14 signposted Harwich, Felixstowe and Bury St. Edmunds.
- Shortly after Stowmarket, take the A1120 Stowupland turn-off.
- Follow the A1120 to Saxtead Green and then take the B1119 to Framlingham.
- On entering Framlingham, follow the signs to the town centre and you will see the Crown Hotel on Market Hill.

From the South:
- Take the A12 to Ipswich, join the A14 to Felixstowe and then rejoin the A12 signposted to Lowestoft.
- Shortly after the market town of Woodbridge, leave the A12 on the B1116 to Framlingham.
- On entering Framlingham, follow the signs to the town centre and you will see the Crown Hotel on the Market Hill.
