Firstly the room very pleasant I was in room four with view of the palace plump duvet and pillows very comfortable. With large shower room next door with nice decor and toiletries all yu can need although you are asked if you have any requests just ask. Now to breakfasts never have j enjoyed such a breakfast from the freindly welcome and papers to the best scottish breakfast k have tasted complete with haggis black pudding this young chef is genius and should be in competitions with awar.
all reviews » The atmosphere was just so cosy and comfortable especially for a pre christmas break. The Staff were so accommodating and hospitable. We especially liked the fact we could wander down for breakfast when we were ready as the pub didn't open till 1230. The breakfast was really delicious and we also enjoyed our evening meal the first night. Fantastic value for money at the Bruce Inn. Very well appointed rooms at a very reasonable price. Brilliant breakfast the following morning that was made to order. Really friendly helpful staff. I would definitely visit this area again to appreciate more of the countryside and I would be staying at the Bruce Inn. Awesome B&B! The Staff were lovely! - helpful, polite, friendly - 10/10! Friendly atmosphere. Great pub food. Getting there from EDI airport is not a straightforward thing but both the village and the accommodation are worth the effort. The Hotel had overbooked so they put me in a holiday cottage that they rent out along with one other person it was a nice place. Food in pub was top quality beer also excellent. We enjoyed all of our break. The staff were very friendly. It was a pleasure to stay here.We had our spaniel with us and she was made welcome as well. Pub meals and breakfasts were excellent. The blind in the ensuite is needing replacing it doesn't work properly and it's mucky. The information about contact fire and breakfast etc was hidden in a drawer and the manager didn't tell us what the arrangements for breakfast were. The door had to be slammed to shut it properly we were worried about disturbing the residents in flat above and other guests. The kettle lead wasn't long enough so had to be boiledon the floor. A shame that not all the rooms are en suite, but for the price it's really not anything to be grumbled at!. There was nothing we didn't like about The Bruce excellent from the moment we arrived till the day we left !. we didnt realise we had booked a room with a share bathroom as it wasnt clear on the bookings.com website. Peter the Innkeeper was lovely & rectified the problem immediately. En suite shower room would have been nice, but probably is not practicable given the layout of the building. The shared bathroom was perfectly acceptable though. Closed quite early...so locked out at 10 30 pm but not a problem. We stayed on a Saturday night so it was pretty noisy when trying to get to sleep, but the good atmosphere made up for it. No evening meals served on Monday. None. Could do with a lick of paint. No en- suite. Bathroom need improvement with extractor fans. Reception must be clearly displayed and a bell for attention. No en suite, told breakfast was at 7am didn't get it till 7.30am. everything else. Rooms very dirty Shared dirty bathrooms Doors didn't lock no on site parking didn't get booking correct.
