Our two rooms were adjacent in a modern purpose built group in a quiet location away from the busy A140 - which we could not hear at night. All the usual facilities were provided in the rooms and were to a good standard. Individual heating controls in the bedroom and bathroom effectively allowed comfort and warmth on a cold spring day. Food and service in the restaurant for our dinner and breakfast were all good and there was a nice choice of dishes on offer. This is clearly a popular venue as .

Although being along a main road the rooms are in the back and it is very silent. Food was very good and good value. Breakfast was also very good. A nice atmosphere and staff were attentive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Although on the main road it was quite at the rooms at the rear of the hotel. Nothing. noise from the busy A140 at night, being a light sleeper it did keep me awake but realise that's not fault of the proprietor as cannot cure this problem. Nothing. Very noisy room in the morning, woke us up at 6.30am, with delivery's. Television in the room very small as when laying on the bed could not see it properly. bed a bit hard but I slept quite well. Other than you would need a car to get around to other attractions - nothing, it was lovely. No issues. A little noisy - on busy main road, worth asking for a 'quiet room'. Prefer more vegetarian option on dinner menu. breakfast room could do with a makeover. The pillows were uncomfortable. We were allocated a room with disabled access bathroom. Good facilities & a great monsoon shower but next time we would request a regular bathroom as we do not like the wet room setup. Forgot to send newspaper one day as promised, had one course at dinner that was not very good,but they seemed concerned and waived the cost straight away. A small speck of dried blood on the underside of the douvet. Also did not ask for bill after dinner but once said we did not want a sweet it arrived, at that point we asked for two bottles of water to take to our room, after 10 mins the waitress appeared asked was everything ok, we said we were just waiting for our water, told it was on its way, 20mins later I got the water from the bar. Noisy, early Sat morning hoovering at 8am. Unfortunately we were given an upstairs room in the new building, this was a smaller room than expected and had no air conditioning. Due to the nature of the low ceilings I banged my head on several occasions. Because the room/building is situated to the front of the area the traffic noise was very annoying, on a previous stay we had a room situated by the rear car park where the traffic noise wasn't so intrusive. being a bit too far away from small towns and the coast. Duck down pillows, I am allergic to them but the staff will change them if you ask. Nothing. Nothing. Rooms at the top,of the annexe were unsuitable for anyone over three foot tall. You had to sit on the toilet to use it, as the ceiling sloped too severely for comfort.
