This hostel is in the perfect location in central Edinburgh. Prices are extremely reasonable and good value for money for what you get. There is a 4 hour window for continental breakfast (which is included in the nightly rate), and they are not regimental about the times if some guests are still eating or go for breakfast a few minutes before the scheduled close. Hostel owners are friendly and accommodating but expect that guests assist with keeping the establishment and common areas clean. .

La verdad si volviera a Edimburgo repetiria en Haggis hostel sin duda. Very well located in the city center with access to walking around every corner of. The location couldn't be beat -- just a minute from Princes St. and 3 minutes to Waverley Station. There was a grocery store nearby, and we were encouraged to use the refrigerator hostel. We could also use some of their breakfast supplies at times other than breakfast. The staff, especially Allan, were all so helpful and went out of their way to help out. There were a couple of computers that we could use free of charge. Everyone staying at the hostel was friendly & considerate of othe. LOVED this hostel! Perfect location right in the heart of the city, very clean, great showers and the staff were really nice and helpful. Will be staying here every trip with friends I have to Edinburgh, really can't justify paying hotel and apartment prices when you've got such a great hostel providing you with everything you need. The hostel was clean and nice.The rooms were light.The stuff were nice.The breakfast good with fresh fruits.The stairs were nice for fitness and haggis hostel is one stairs less than the upper hostel .So You are all time glad to spare one, if You come back and You are tired from walking through town. My 1st time to use a hostel & was delightfully surprised. I definitely recommend the HAGGIS. The hostel is ideally located just behind Princes St(The main shopping st in Edin), Staff were friendly, service was very efficient, the hostel was immacculate from the toilets to the shower facilities, to the breakfast setup in the morning. Cleanest hostel ive stayed in the world over..... clean, convenient and super location. common kitchen well equipped with utensils for cooking during travel. young and friendly staff and ready to offer help. well maintained clean toilet and bathrooms. Spacious common room and generiously provided desk top computers for free surfing. Everything. The staff is friendly and helpful, the only way I could be closer to the city centre is by sleeping right in the streets, everything is clean, and cleaned regularly, and there's a nice little dive about 15 seconds away from downstairs. I'd recommend it to anyone. Cool hostel with all the necessities you'd expect and wonderful helpful staff on hand. I only stayed one night, and was very pleased with my stay. If you're looking for super clean budget-friendly accommodation, Haggis is the place to stay. Everything is clean and well organized, not so many people crowded together. I think that the website should let that be known initially. I must say, however, that the clever murals on the stairway walls give encouragement during the climb. First:I liked the hostel.But the shower system is a bit weird.You get either burned or iced in a thin water jet and I think in a cold and windy town like Edinburgh hairdryers should be included in the price.(cold). At night, the staff should ask the guests to speak softly so others who have early tours to catch can get a good nights sleep. You do have to climb a few steps to get to this amazing hostel.......but hey its good for you!. hostel on 4/f with no lift and very difficult for visitors with handrail luggages. lower deck of the plank bed is too short in height and you cannot sit up on yr bed. you can only squeeze in and lay down. Nothing - they run a pretty tight operation. No place to store your private things. Common areas a little small. Can be awkward with seven people trying to get breakfast in the kitchen. Breakfast choice could be improved. Not a thing - perfect place for the traveller who is money wise. They charge you for key lockers (every hostel like this one should offer it for free) and hair dryer (in a place cold like Edinburg, it is a necessity) and wifi!!!. Change the photo on the front cover for the hostel. If that's the only things negative thing I would have to say, this was a fantastic trip. I had to pay daily for wireless internet use, towels, and a locker because this was not included in the price for the room. Had I known this I would have brought my own towel. The four-bed bedrooms is very small, and the street where the hostel is located is not beautiful, although it is well located. Not enough space in rooms, not enough air, only one small window for a room with 8 sleepers. The Sunday breakfast can be made a bit more interesting !!. Not at all. 10 bed room very small and cramped very hot could do with air conditioning weather was extremely hot which did not help. Charges for Wifi and the room was quite small for four persons. But the rooms differ in the size, so I had bad luck. Furthermore the hostel has a lack of space for socialising. The one time I wanted to watch TV during dinner, it wasn't working. Small lockers. The stair is a bit of a problem with heavy luggage. Maybe you should mention this on your advert. But I got a help. maybe we need a lift. the room door is a little bit noisy when sleeping. This hostel don't have lifts, and sometimes up 70 steps in a stair can be terrible and exhaustive. The window will make noise if there is a big wind, but luckily the hostel provide earplugs. Internet should be free. We are living in 21 century after all... It's up 3 flights of stairs, so anyone with a heavy suitcase will have a struggle of it. Typical backpacker hostel, complete with bunkbeds with springy mattresses and the noise of homecoming partyfolk. breakfast not very variable. Living space a bit tight but that's Europe !!. No lifts, not so convenient for one who has many belongings. It is quite a haul up the stairs. from the website you get the idea that wi-fi and lockers are for free and they' re not. I understand the charge but I think the issue should be clarified!. There was no porridge! It's a must have breakfast for a runner. Dorms and restrooms are a tight squeeze. Difficult to move around in a full room. Noise, beds are a bit wobbly... The hostel didnt has elevators and it's located at the top floor. The room is cramped with 2 bunkbeds that it is impossible to move around. The space between the lower and top bed is so small that you cant sit straight on the bed.
