The large apartments have an open-plan lounge with CD player, either a 2-seater sofa or twin sofas, and a dining area. The kitchens have fridge/freezers, microwaves and tumble dryers. Breakfast starter packs can be ordered prior to arrival (at an additional cost).

STAFF WERE SO HELPFULL ADVISING WHERE TO GO WITH CHILDREN AGED 6 AND 13 THEY REALLY ENJOYED DYNAMIC EARTH ALSO ABLE TO GET IN EARLY AS STAFF HAD JUST FINISHED CLEANING, BUT HAD BEEN ADVISED WE COULD LEAVE BAGS IF ARRIVING EARLY THIS WAS VERY HELPFULL BECAUSE WE TRAVELLED BY TRAIN. EASY TO FIND FROM HAYMARKET. WE WERE ALSO UPGRADED THIS MADE OUR EASTER TREAT EVEN MORE SPECIAL. Five minute walk from Haymarket railway station. Everything was in walking distance, but good local transport for the less energetic. Easy to find. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a problem one evening when we had no hot water, but within five minutes staff were on site and water was restored.

This was reassuring given our online booking. We were able to respond and asked a question about taxis, to which we got a prompt and good answer. Reasonable price for a 2 bedroom apartment in the middle of festival time. COULD NOT FIND FAULT WITH THIS AND WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND IT AND USE AGAIN.Building work next door, but we had been made aware of this before we arrived. the apartments got a bit cold at night. Very hot and stuffy the first night as radiators were going full blast and we couldn't turn the hall one down. However, very helpful receptionist advised us about how to alter boiler to address this. The checkout time of 10.30am is a bit early - 11am would be a much more convenient time - especially on a Sunday morning. Bit noisy with people coming in really late. noisy road on week-end. A little bit noisy outside.Slight problem with parking as building work is restricting the number of spaces. The only thing that was not up to standard was the bed. It was very stiff and made all kinds of sounds.Registration arrangments - there was a failure to register me properly and the hotel phoned my home and scared my family by saying I had not turned up. The hotel does not have a 24 hrs reception desk. Room and corridors dated. Furniture/carpet a little worn [though new sofa and curtains]. Currently construction work which was noisy [Aug 08]. service was bad, carpet was not hoovered for 3 days, towels not changed for 2 days, kitchen bin left full for 2 days. The rooms were very outdated in style. There were several items lacking in our room on arrival and it took a number of calls to get them delivered. The next day, towels were not replaced and again it took several phone calls to obtain them.

Each of our apartments has a lounge with dining area, a modern, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine/dryer and bathroom with bath & shower. The lounge/dining area has comfortable sofas, cable TV (including news, sports & movie channels) & a direct dial phone. Everything from bed linen & towels to wine glasses and a hairdryer is provided, and housekeeping will refresh the apartment daily.

From 1st October 2008, breakfast starter packs are available to order prior to arrival (please see Hotel Policies for costs). Please contact the apartments to make arrangements.

Travelling information

By Car
From the Airport:
- Take the A8 from Edinburgh Airport through Corstorphine to Haymarket.
- Stay in the outside lane and follow the signs for the EICC.
- Carry straight on through the traffic lights at the top of Dewar Place into Gardners Crescent. At the roundabout turn right and then first right into Grove Street.
- Fountain Court is located some 100 yards down on the right-hand side. Car access is 100 yards past the main office.

From the A702 (south):
- Follow the A702 through Morningside and onto Bruntsfield Place that in turn leads onto Leven Street and Home Street.
- Gilmore Place will be on your left-hand side. Take the second turning past Gilmore Place on the left marked Thornybauk (just after the Royal Bank of Scotland).
- Follow the road for 200 yards, until you get to a set of traffic lights, then get in the left-hand lane.
- Turn left onto Fountain Bridge for 100 yards.
- At the roundabout, go straight over. The next turning on the right is Grove Street.
- Fountain Court is located some 100 yards down on the right-hand side. This is a one-way street; take your time. If you miss us you will be back on the one way system. The car access is 100 yards past the main office.

By Bus
There is an Edinburgh Airport/city centre bus service to Edinburgh every 10 minutes between 07:00 and 21:40 Monday to Friday, and 10:10 and 17:30 at weekends. Single GBP 3; open return GBP 5.
