Situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s city centre, Malt House Apartments are only 2 minutes’ walk to the west end of Princes Street. The modern loft apartments have been converted from a whisky-bond building and come fully equipped with a kitchen, free Wi-Fi and a flat-screen TV.
These self-catered apartments include a washing machine, dishwasher and oven in a fully fitted kitchen, with coffee and tea also provided upon arrival. Sofa beds can be requested to be added to the lounge prior to arrival to allow for extra guests.
A small supermarket can be found just 2 minutes’ walk from the Malt House Apartments, as well as a wide variety of pubs and restaurants in the surrounding area. Haymarket Railway Station is only 10 minutes on foot, as well as the nightlife district of George Street.

Great value for money. The apartments are well appointed, very clean and fresh. Our first visit to Edinburgh, and we found the location good - really very handy to New Town and Prince Street Gardens just around the corner, and not too far a walk to Old Town. The apartments have a keyless system, using keypads on the front gate and apartment door, so don;t need to worry about picking up/dropping off or losing keys. All very convenient and comfortable, with kitchen and laundry, so very useful if . all reviews »
My initial reaction - "wow". This apartment is the most
welcoming, homely, ultra-modern, chić and quite frankly the best place I
have stayed whilst on holiday. The Malthouse building in its entirety
has been renovated to a very high quality standard and this is evident
from the moment you set your eyes on the place. I fully recommend to
book your stay here...it is literally a case of 'home-from-
home'...me and my friend never wanted to leave. I most certainly
will be booking again for my next s.
Extremely clean, sleek, apartment, everything that we needed right on
hand. It was so easy to get in, no need to pick up keys or check in or
out, just use the code allocated to get into the building and to the
flat itself. Location wise it couldn't have been better, just
minutes from the eicc and the Sheraton and the various bars etc on
Shandwick Place and Morrison Road.
I travel for business and usually stay in hotels. I tried an apartment
for a change and would do this type again and again. Felt so relaxed on
an evening. These apartment are superb and of very high standard
throughout.customer service over the phone very prompt at the start.This
beats the expensive edinbourgh hotels.
Staff were excellent in relocating me to another apartment when there was a problem with the apartment I booked.

We absolutely loved our stay, super central location with only minutes walk to the main shoppin street, tourist attractions an amazing restaurants. The keyless entry was brilliant, the apartments where very clean an well presented and perfect for me, my partner and our two boys!.
My original apartment at the Malthouse had flooded so Destiny's team moved me to an alternative and larger apartment the other end of Princes Street. The apartment was great and the team were very helpful in helping me with transport to make up for the change in location.
Edinburgh is an excellent spot to visit, we loved the town and iots people. Lots to see and do for 9 days. The appartment is very central, walking distance to near everything and very handy to a great pub with great food. Very pleased with the entire experience.
The location - walked everywhere. The freedom to come and go and have
breakfast in PJs in our own time. The privacy of a separate room for a
teenager but the safety of still being with us. The decor and quality
finishes. The facilities - home from home.
This is the second time I have stayed at the malt house apts. This time I was in a two bed apt which was fantastic. I even got a tour of another apt from the owner to see the different layouts. I will definitely stay again.

Beautiful spacious apartments on a relatively quiet road, but close to the centre of town. Very comfortable beds and extremely well equipped. A pleasure to stay in. The staff handling my booking were extremely friendly and helpful.
very new and modern, children felt immediately at home and were enthusiastic about the living room, bedroom and bathroom with wonderful shower.

It's a small gripe but if you are used to staying in hotels you will
probably be used to bigger beds than these. I guess the living room was
a little sparsely furnished too - it could have done with an extra
armchair or something.

Beds are quite firm - not everybody's preference.
The roadworks - very frustrating just trying to find the place and then
having to figure out how to get to it with all the one way systems in
place. No mirrors in the bedrooms. The close proximity to offices during
the day - the windows were close enough for staff to see what we were
having for breakfast.(Had to keep the blinds in the bedrooms closed
while dressing - dark).
Very little. We used the sofa bed as an extra bed, and it was less comfortable than the other beds. This is only a minor niggle: it was such a nice place to stay.
Would recommend putting a door stop on the front entrance door as it slams onto the wall when people come in which is heard in the bedroom of the first floor apartment closest to the front of the building. An extra frying pan in the kitchen would be nice, as well. Also, a place to put soap instead of the floor. Other than those things, just like home.....
Parking facilities. Edinburgh has strict, (and expensive), parking controls. Not car friendly.

UPSTAIRS!! Sounded like they were playing football at 11PM - finally quietened down around 1am - if I stay again I'll stay on the next floor.
Nothing - a wonderful place to stay.
The bed was a little uncomfortable, gave us both a slight neck ache...
Heating took a while to understand and sky sports would have made
it perfect.
They should more tea, coffee, and creamers out, we got through our supply in one day.
It was all a bit impersonal with check in by email . My questions on parking and whether there was a dryer unit etc were not answered. As a result we got a parking fine, which could have been avoided with more info on nearby parking.
Normally quiet but we had construction which was loud in the morning.
No where to leave luggage on departure at 11am.
No on-site parking is a bit of a pain, could mention the Sheraton Hotel car park as very safe and good value for money? Its very near too..
Wobbly handle on saute pan, check out at 11am rather than noon, a dvd player or sky channels would have been a good addition.
Sofa was not that comfortable, a bit noisy in the morning with traffic, slightly pricey however it was the weekend of the open golf.
Check in 3pm and checkout 11 am is unheard of in most hotels.
I liked it all, I'll book again.

Not knowing how to check in. Did not know I would receive an e-mail with
details of check in until I buzzed another apartment to ask. Maintenance
man banging and drilling at 07.30 (2-7-13) wasnt really on when I am not
working and would like a lay in.

I was unable to experience the Malthouse due to a last minute plumbing failure.
I think there should be more towels for a weekend trip!.
