The 15th-century Dungiven Castle in County Londonderry is set in 22 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens. Many of its rooms enjoy views of the Sperrin Mountains, and there is a chic restaurant. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, a TV, DVD player and an iPod dock. Spacious bathrooms feature robes, slippers and luxury toiletries, whilst rooms also provide mineral water and free tea and coffee. A former dance hall, the Castle has hosted music legends such Tom Jones. Today it has a restaurant serving local produce and traditional full Irish breakfasts every morning. Guests can reach central Belfast in less than an hour’s drive. Londonderry/Derry’s lively centre is a 25-minute car journey from the Castle. The hotel grounds and surrounding countryside are perfect for walking.

It was totally fun staying in a castle. The staff were very helpful and attentive and the rooms extremely comfortable. The grounds are also beautiful. staff great - helpful and friendly rooms good modern and clean breakfast great and pleasant dining room. Loved the relaxed atmosphere in the bar and the friendly bar staff.

Pleasant rural setting though unimpressive entrance. front of castle great - looks very impressive back looks a bit crushed - pity couldnt be open to road - cattle shed looks bit unfortunate!. Not a big fan of the breakfast. No hot water when we arrived on the Friday, after about 1 1/2 hrs finally got some. No hot water on the Saturday. Apology made but no discount offered nor anything complimentary for the inconvenience. village of Dungiven was very poor and delapitated, food was overpriced and not special. Standards didn't meet expectations. We paid £54 more than other guests for our one night stay though we booked in February. Breakfast took 25 mins between order being placed and arrival at table.
