Housed within the world-famous Loch Ness Exhibition Centre, this family-run hotel is ideally located for touring the Highlands. The room was nice, we really liked the mini fridge especially since there's not a lot of options for eating out unless you want to make the 20-25 min trip to Inverness which is where we got our groceries. Still cute hotel, great staff. The staff were really good. Rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. Excellent well priced food, with good friendly service. The hotel has a good location and is excellent value for money.

It was convenient for business with dining and bar facilities. The lounge bar and reception closing so early. the food was below par for the price. Slow service at meal times. bits of black stuff were floating in the orange juice container. The bed was terrible! The lumpiest bed I've ever slept on. Did notsleep well.Dining room cold in the evening. Breakfast should be served in the restuarant not the cafe. Bathrooms need modernising - units are from 1970's and stained - white is always best for hotels. Carpet in the room was very stained. Power Failure, Breakfast starts too late. Restaurant portions too large. not properly cleaned toilet. the food was a big let down. on saturday night 11pm,sun 8am and 10.30am a really load 'drilling like sound' came from room next door,unsure if it was shower next door but certainly couldn't have slept through the noise. Breakfast wasn't till 8.30 each morning. Staff weren't overly helpful. On the morning we were leaving we decided to forgo breakfast and check out at 8.00am to make an early start - the hotel office and meal area was deserted until 8.20am!! Not impressed. The coffee.The washand basin in the room was very badly cracked,and could havecaused injury. I reported this on arrval at 5pm but nothing wasdone.The breakfast was very well cooked but spoiled by cold plates! Thebacon was well cooked but requires to be covered in that it was cold onto the plates. High prices according to services. Room in need of refurbishment, loose and dangerous electric socket, wardrobe door hanging off its hinges, filthy carpet, generally shabby overall. In the restaurant many of the menu items were unavailable, (at 7:30) eg 3 main courses unavailable and 4 sweets unavailable on the night we were there. We felt very sorry for the restaurant waiting staff who were having to tell the customers this. I would not stop here in the winter again as hotel did not have proper heating.

During the day the Loch Ness cafe opens from 09:00 through to 17:00. This self service restaurant has a variety of foods and beverages to accommodate all tastes. There are always hot soups, jacket potatoes and salads with every type of filling possible available and hot specials freshly prepared by the chef every day. A vegetarian special is also available.

You may wish to sit upstairs in our viewing lounge and enjoy the scenery, and why not try a local beer or whisky at the same time.

From 18:00 through to 21:30 the Loch Ness bistro opens. We offer our a la carte menu or bar suppers.

There are supplement foods available on request. Once you have enjoyed a delicious meal, then you may wish to head to the bar for a nightcap or 2!

There is usually entertainment at the weekends and guaranteed good rapport with fellow guests and staff.
