Hotel is close to airport. Food and accommodation very good. Enjoyed pool. Entertainment or background music in bar on Sat. night would be a plus. I particulary enjoyed the setting of the Hotel. Excellent views of the surrounding countryside.Anything that was wrong was rectified immediately, and very prompt and efficient service. Hotel is in good position for tt CIRCUIT.Staff were very friendly.Foodwas excellent.

The room comfort was excellent and the leisure facilities great. Spacious hotel, easy parking. spacious room and the fact that we had use of the pool and gymnasium. as it rained a lot during our stay- we used both facilities.I always stay at this hotel when I visit the Isle of Man on business - excellent staff and great atmosphere. Large cold spray in jaccussi not very nice for others sitting in. The menu was the same in Charlottes Bistro and the Murray Restaurant and there was no al la carte. The bar food was ok but they served the starter and main course at the same time which was poor. No real ale on hand pumps. bed was slightly too firm for me. Decor is faded in parts and there is an air of neglect in some parts of the accommodation block- a pity since the hotel has the potential to be excellent Reception staff did not always respond quickly or reliably to requests although complaints were very effectively dealt with.TV channels were a bit mixed up and too much sport, no film channel for thjose nights when there was not much on. School room type tables in sports bar need changing for a more relax and dine type arrangement!. Food menu repetative. Room heating switches off when key card removed making room cold on return. For a 4 star Hotel I found the maintenance on the fixtures and thebathroom poor. The rooms could have been cleaner, and the hotel as a 4* I felt would be to a far higher specification than I found. In comparison to the rest of the Island then the hotel was good, but do not expect 4* to have the same grading as it would on the mainland. The allocated room was in dire need of renovation with broken furniture and a worn out bed, not in keeping with its 4 star rating. Our complaint dealt with by the superb receptionist. The staff are this hotel's best asset.The room was cold when first arrived, ie no-one had thought to turn on the heating and the internet connection was down, therefore I couldn't access my e-mails. This is the second time this service has not been available to me when staying at the hotel. Not one of the staff seemed to know how to smile., From front of houseto checking out. Never been in a hotel where there were so many sadpeople.[Staff.] Perhaps your management people need to sit your staffdown and do a bit of customer service instruction. Beginning with asmile? And, occasionally, someone behind the large receptiondesk????????????????. room facilities were poor : no internet access, bedside lighting linked to main light, tv had neither sky nor digital, no DVD player, shower "push button" type with time limit. In general alll the major Isle of man hotels re looking tired and in need of refurishment/brightening up. Very, very slow service for bar food. Very expensive to hire a meeting room. Just generally quite a tired place by international standards.

Guests of the hotel are welcome to use the extensive facilities of the health and fitness club, the largest on the Isle of Man. The sheer size of the complex and the astonishing level of equipment ensures that all demands are met in a relaxed and friendly environment. The 12.5 metre pool is complemented by a hydro-therapy pool, steam room and solarium. Children under the age of 15 may use the pool at restricted times and creche facilities are available.
