We booked a one night stay to extend our holiday in Norfolk as the weather was so good. We arrived hot and gritty from a day on the beach to a warm welcome and were shown straight away to a lovely clean room. We were asked when we wanted breakfast and made arrangements to dine that evening. As we were travelling with our dog we were informed how to get in and out when the pub was closed for walks etc and given a key, we were also told the dog was more than welcome in all areas of the pub an.
all reviews » A b&b above a pub is the PERFECT venue. The room was clean, cosy, the staff friendly and helpful. We had great breakfasts, and partook of evening meals and a few drinks in the pub. The other two rooms were also rented by people from the Blenheim craft show only 5 minutes away (we were attending as exhibitors) so not only was the venue convenient and the staff lovely, we got to know the other residents too!! Having stayed in numerous b&b's over the years I can honestly say that this is o. The welcome and friendliness of staff. The room was spotless with added extras like hot chocolate. Lovely en-suite. Evening meal was superb-chocolate orange pancakes to die for! Lovely beer garden. Had to leave very quickly following morning due to family illness and they couldn't have been more helpful. Even got a discount for missing my cooked breakfast! Will certainly return. We visited Sandringham for a special event, very handy being only 2.5 miles away. Clean and comfortable with everything provided. Friendly staff in the evening for our meal, and the same for the super breakfast in the morning. Relaxed atmosphere which seemed busy for a Sunday afternoon/evening, locals friendly as well. Will definately return if in the area again. We received a very friendly welcome as soon as we arrived. We had our evening meal at the pub which was lovely and a very nice evening with another couple who were staying there. The bed was so comfortable we didnt want to get up.The breakfast was superb. We ordered one veggie breakfast which for once had quorn sausage which is a first. Would definitely return. We were welcomed by everyone, (staff and locals). A very nice warm atmosphere. Close to everything shops near by, as well as a short drive to the beach. We even liked the fact that once upstairs u didnt even know you were on top of a pub, we couldnt hear nothing. We wanted to be close ro Houghton Hall as we were planning a visit the next day but also wanted to explore King's Lynn and other parts of Norfolk. The Coach and Horses was ideally placed. Breakfast was huge, freshly-cooked for eacg guest and lasted us all day. The room was clean and functional and was cleaned every day. Eveyone was very friendly from the people that work there to the locals . breakfast was a full English, although if you wanted something different, nothing was to much trouble. Friendly obliging staff nothing too much trouble ,would serve breakfast early to suit our needs Food excellent ,the beer too! felt like a local after just a couple of nights - Highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay. Everyone was so helpful and pleasant. Comfortable room and a good breakfast - more than enough to eat and drink. Would highly recommend the Coach & Horses. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere in the pub was very jovial. The food was excellent and served in a beautiful breakfast area that had an array of orchids on the windowsills. The staff where first class including the land lady. Very polite and nothing too much trouble.we had the dogs with us and they where made welcome too. Already booked our next visit. The room was comfortable and clean and the pub is very well situated for Sandringham and the beach at Hunstanton. the overall cleanliness of the place was superb. the staff were excellent, especially the manager, vanessa, who we thought was the owner, because she was so ubiquitous !. There was nothing not to like. This is a popular country pub and the car park was full with the cars of local residents. It might be an idea to have places reserved for guests as on one occasion I had to ask for a builder's Land Rover to be moved and on another occasion had to shift a picnic table at the front of the pub so i could park safely overnight. Cost of the food and drink, however the food was delicious and the portions were large. Room went cold at night after central heating went off,so had to use the portable heater(supplied). The green light that stayed on throughout the night in our bedroom. We didn't get much sleep because of the light in our room. There wasn't a Gideons Bible in our bedroom which we would have liked. the only real criticism would be that the bed in our room, whilst very comfortable, creaked badly with the slightest movement ! could be embarassing in certain circumstances. The bar areas were dated and would benefit from redecoration as the bedrooms. Wsan't really sure on breakfast times and protocol. nothing. the twin bed's very comfortable but we are used to king so we put them together know problem. That we only booked one night!. Could have done with bedside cabinet each and no where to sit and dry hair etc (not near to a plug socket). Honestly there was nothing to dislike!. nothing to dislike!. The room was compact but comfortable but there was nowhere to do any work with the limited space. no dislikes at all. n/a. Small room. there was nothing to dislike about our stay even the weather was good. Nothing. exit sign in the bedroom made the room too light at night. The food quality from the evening menu was poor. TV on top of wardrobe is too high to view properly. A chair and desk would be good for working. rooms a liitle old fashioned. Bathroom was cold. the emergency light in the room could of been used on an air field at night, it just was not dark. unfortunately due to age room smelt stale. mattress too soft.
