The hotel was beautiful with lovely grounds and the staff were very helpful. The food was very good and it was excellent value for money. beautiful setting especailly when it snowed , and very romantic break. Very relaxing atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. Go to Coulsdon Manor youll have a good time. The staff were very friendly and made an effort to accomodate my requirements. The situation in the aprkland was lovely and I enjoyed looking out at the cedar tree right in front of my window!. everything was perfect, but not the 20cm of snow during the night of 1th february, !! as I can't return on the road, I need to stay one night more. But good expérience and "souvenir" !! very nice manor and park, and good staff too !. Easy to get to from M25 and fairly central to City of London. Good food and friendly staff. Staff were all very helpful. We entertained 3 local guests to supper in the Terrace Bar and can report that they all enjoyed themselves. The location and settings were excellent, staff very helpful, rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean.The grounds are beautiful and the main restaurant is excellent, serving delicious food. The bedrooms had blankets and we would prefer duvats. Just that we missed tea and coffee making facilities in the room.The restaurant was closed the night we stayed, they did however serve dinner for us in the bar. Breakfast was excellent. the room was a bit warm. empty beer bottles lying around in the hotel gardens. Little bit of noise from a wedding party but everyones gotta have a boogie at a wedding havent they so it was no big deal.The internet access was very poor. I would recommend that you check the high speed wifi and make it complimentary. I would be willing to pay more on the roomrate if I had good internet access. When I connected it took 5 minutes to load a page and it is not my computer as everywhere else I stay I have no problems. In the two restaurants, the lighting is much too bright. Restaurant was deserted in the evening. Bar food took 45 minutes to arrive. Breakfast never got beyond coffee and taost as no one bothered to take my order. Some serious management changes need in this area!. It was very hard to get back into the hotel after 1.00am. Had to wait agood 15 minutes. Mini bar was empty. No drinking water available. The breakfast was absolutely discusting. I booked a double but only a twin room available. The waiter at breakfast was a bit miserable. The service of meals in bar resturant was a little slow when I did eat at the hotel. The hotel is somewhat in need of updating.Terrible service from waiter at breakfast - clearly need better supervision/motivation. Marmelade "out of stock"!!. The restaurant menu was very poor so we had to find somewhere to eat each night. Breakfast room was rather cold - mobile heaters were brought in. Furnishings needed updating, some shabby and worn.waiting and quality of the food. no internet at a hotel is simply not done in these modern days. Especially when one advertises that there is an internet connection. Only the wireless signal is too weak to be usable in your room! Unforgivable and ruined my 3 day trip!. Yes - The food in the evening was really poor, infact it actually gave us a bad stomach. We even walked during the snow on Monday evening to find somewhere else to eat. The bar staff on Sunday night were terrible, rude and ignorant. I wouldnt stay again just for the above. the hotel needs updating the decor is veru tierd!! the bed was very uncomfortable. Tired and a little slow. When I went to the restaurant in the evening, I was greeted by a man whosmelt strongly of cigarettes, and breathed all over over me. It was sooff-putting I ate in the bar !!. Prices at the bar were higher than central London prices!. Hotel decor is some 35 years out of date...very 1980's in style long overdue for an upgrade. Hotel shabby in overall appearance inside.Reception area quite shabby. Hotel staff agreed the appearance was not good.genral up keep of hotel needs to be addressed leaks,paper coming away and breakfast was awful. Most things. The room (particularly the bathroom) had a very unpleasant smell. Breakfast was very poor, no fresh fruit, I had to ask and then got a grapefruit on one day, nothing available the next day. Bar food was poor and took ages to arrive. Rooms lack hygene. Comfort is very poor. TVs in the room date back to the 80s!!!!.

From the m23/25 Junction 7 follow the m23 going north until the road becomes the a23. Proceed for 2.5 miles after which you will pass Coulsdon South Railway Station on the right. Just past the station take the right hand turn, signposted 'Old Coulsdon, Caterham (b2030)'. Follow this road uphill for 1 mile and turn left just past the pond, then turn left again onto Coulsdon Road (b2030 to Purley). After half a mile turn right into Couldson Court Road. At the end of this road you will find Coulsdon Manor. Travelling south from London on the a23 - after the major intersection at Purley continue for approximately 1.1 miles then turn left into Stoat's Nest Road (b2030) signposted Caterham. Follow the road for approximately 1 mile. Turn left into Coulsdon Court Road which leads to Coulsdon Manor.
